My family really loves these hot dogs. They Do have a little spicy kick to them which I am personally not a fan of but the rest of my family really likes them so it’s just my personal wimpiness that doesn’t care for them.

I am so happy to be purchasing my meats from Hearthstone Farm. The quality is excellent, prices fair, and so much comfort in knowing where our meat is coming from. The Ancestral blend ground beef is a special product in that one get the amazing health benefits/nutritional benefits of organ meats which we rarely consume. The flavor is rich, having the taste of ground beef with a subtle hint of the organ meats.

My family and I love all the different types of protein we get from farmer Dan. The fact that the chicken is NOT washed in a chlorine bath is even better. It's hard to find companies that care for you as much.

Blueberry Maple Sausage

We have had a different brand of blueberry sausage local to where we live & my husband and I both agree that Heartstone Farm’s Blueberry Maple sausages are so much better! They are perfectly seasoned, much bigger than the other brand we had & we enjoy eating them. We are very pleased with the quality of all the Heartstone Farm products that we are receiving.

Great addition

This steak salt is a great addition for grilling our steaks. No more making something from scratch. Although I'm kind of a purist with sea salt and cracked pepper, this prepared recipe has all the right flavors for enhancing our steaks.

Delicious!

My husband and I just baked our chicken leg quarters and they were beyond delicious! Knowing that we weren’t ingesting steroid and antibiotic treated chicken was very satisfying. Just rubbed them with avocado oil and some spices and that was it! I will be a definitely reorder!!

quality, ethical chicken

I feel good buying my chicken through heartstone farm. The taste is fantastic and I know where it is coming from. Supporting small farms is very important to me. Very happy I started my meat subscription.

Not good in an air fryer

The flavor was good but they didn't cook well. Instead of browning, they split and the casing seemed to thick and chewy. I cooked them on the air fry setting for about 5 minutes because I had a full try of them. It could have been my fault and I will own it if it was, but I won't even venture to try them again that way. I changed my next delivery by choosing something else instead. Otherwise, the rest of the products I have tried are very good!

Most tender pork chops ever!!

These pork chops were some of the best tender pork chops I've ever had. I would definitely buy them again without hesitation. If you haven't given them a try definitely do! This was my first order with farmer Dan and I'm pretty sure I'm going to be addicted now!

Most tender steak ever!

The best meat I ever tasted! It was so flavorful and delicious! Even when I accidentally overcooked the fajita meat, it still melted like butter in your mouth. I love how the cow's are 100% pasture raised and Not injected with mRNA! It is so well packed in dry ice that even on an almost 90 degree day, it still arrived frozen solid. I enjoyed the meat so much that I signed up for reoccurring shipments. Thank you Farmer Dan!

Made turkey tacos. Came out excellent. Think it would be great to make burgers. Mix of white and dark makes it less dry. Will buy again.

Good sausage, one issue

Sausage was delicious, juicy and decent size. However, when I bought it online, soybean oil was not mentioned in the ingredient list. Unfortunately, this sausage does contain soybean oil. I would not have purchased had I known this. It is my belief that many people looking for the healthiest meat online will not want to have soybean oil in their meat. While I love the taste, unfortunately I would not purchase again as long as there are soybean oils in the product. Hopefully in the future, as this is Italian sausage, they can replace this with healthy EVOO. Getting different ingredient sausage than what is listed online makes me hesitant to make another purchase, sadly. Hopefully they can change this!

We have a house in Maine near Heartstone Farm. During COVID this home became our year round residence. Living in this part of Maine year round comes with certain hardships, that being a city girl, I was not accustomed to, but welcomed. Things that come so easily, like electricity, central heat, and internet, were not easy so easy here during the winter months. However, we almost immediately started getting our meat delivered from Heartstone. Our daughter was completely in remote school and given the circumstances, and the beauty of this place- we ate exclusively at home. I am a Physiologist and know that in some cases, the jury is out on food quality and health impact. From personal experience I can tell you that our bodies changed- for the better. Our daughter, who suffers from sensitive and hyper reactive skin issues (like acne) experienced far clearer skin. All of our body weights adjusted to our size. Our stress levels (during an incredibly stressful time) were manageable. Most significantly, we noticed a difference in the taste of our meat. It sounds crazy- but it’s not. We preferred (and still do) making our meals at home, because it just tastes good! When social distancing ended, and school was back in session, we had to leave Maine as year round residents so that our daughter could finish high school. We were happy to be back around our family and friends, but missed many of things we grew to appreciate in our 2.5 years in northern Maine full time. I emailed Farmer Dan and asked if there was anyway that we could ship our meat box delivery. Well, the answer was yes! Now, when we are in Maine, our meat is from Farmer Dan. When we are NOT in Maine our meat comes from Farmer Dan. Our daughter, now in college, also gets a shipment from Farmer Dan. We literally give meat boxes as gifts at Christmas. Sometimes I hesitate to write reviews when I know I’ve found a good thing for fear of the inevitable wait list. But I firmly believe in Heartstone Farms, their hard work, their attention to quality and humanely raised meat. Without a doubt, if all consumers had access to a Farmer Dan and Heartstone Farms, everyone would experience what my family has experienced, and businesses like Heartstone (and sadly the former chicken farm at Commonwealth) would flourish. I’d prefer a waitlist! Thank you Heartstone Farms for your relentless dedication. Please don’t ever give up or else I’ll have to become - vegetarian.

The Best!

This is my second order of the Hot Italian Chicken Sausage and will not be my last. So much flavor, great texture and has just the right amount of heat. I like that this is not a precooked sausage like most chicken sausages you find in the grocery store and is made with basic ingredients I am comfortable with.

Hi Farmer Dan, I loved the way the order was packaged. It came so quickly I wasn’t even prepared for it and was not able to even defrost it for a few days while I finished what I had. I have made the bacon and the skirt steak. Both were absolutely delicious. I loved how the steak came with instructions on how to prepare since it is grass fed. The food was delicious. Unbelievable mix

You can definitely taste the heart and liver in this mix, which is always a great confirmation you're getting the essential vitamins with the protein content & great taste of regular ground beef. This has been my go-to recently for regular and post-workout meals. Just needs salt/pepper but can also add garlic, onion powder, cumin and cayenne for a kick.

I regularly add these absolutely delicious filets to my subscription boxes. They taste great and are so tender! And most importantly, the cows are humanely raised and get to live their best lives grazing the pastures. Ordered 2 of the filet mignon to try in my last order and was not disappointed! So flavorful and tender. Will absolutely get these again!

We order the chicken breasts with every order placed because of the great taste! We love the fact that the chickens are humanely raised, raised in the US & later the chickens are not being soaked in chlorine baths!! Plus, we truly want to support the small family farms right here in the US. We realize the difficulty & the fight they must undertake to make it in this country & are thankful for them producing a healthy option.

The tenders are plump, tender and delicious. We marinated them In spicy buttermilk, coated them with flour and deep fried them to perfect golden brown! Yum!

I used the stew meat in an 'Irish" beef stew and the meat was so tasty and tender. The pieces were a perfect size and so healthy looking. I will enjoy making kebas this summer on the grill.

The product way much better than store bought. Ever since I ordered from them I never buy meat from store.
