Sirloin Steaks

What can I say, other than THE BEST steaks we have had. We went to a steak house that is famous for their steaks and my husband & I said, these do NOT compare to the ones we get from Heartstone Farm. We have basically quit restaurants and only cook our own dinners using Heartstone Farms meat & Steaks. If you want a REAL fork cut ability steak, I highly recommend Heartstone Farms. You will certainly NEVER buy store bought crap meat again! I always tell people about it.

Great Chicken!

Great chicken with amazing flavor, made it Cajun style for Fat Tuesday. Blackened and then braised in tomato (from the garden frozen) based sauce served over rice.

My purpose of trying Heartstone is to support the farmers as well as healthier options. I purchased a variety of meats to try and will say that so far, the hamburgers and both chicken breast & thighs are amazing! Can't wait to try the rest to include the sausages, ground beef, bacon & more!

Best Bacon EVER!

Although all the meats from Heartstone are flavorful and delicious, the bacon is the best I’ve ever had! Absolutely amazing. And the breakfast sausage is a close second, as well. Heartstone was a great find and I am so happy to be one of their subscribers.

Review for Shaved Steak

The best shaved steak I have ever had. I chopped a small onion and fried it in butter and added half of the shaved steak to the skillet and fried it till it got a little brown. I was so good in a small bun. Can't wait to try sliders with them. I have been happy with everything I have received. Today I am making a meatloaf for my son and his family, with the hamburger.

Had a filet mignon, so called, from my order last evening. To say I was disappointed does not begin to express my level of dissatisfaction. The cut was unrecognizable as a filet. It was grizzly, tough with a high percent of inedible waste. The texture was unlike any other filet I’ve ever had and could only be described as woefully sub par. Your pricing only adds insult to injury. I do not look forward to consuming the remaining pieces.

Stonewood farms turkey from Orwell Vermont

Stonewood Farms Turkey was the best turkey I ever had. I liked it so much I sent some for friends and family, ordered another one for my household, and will pray they don’t run out of stock. I am a professional chef of over 40 years and know what quality turkey is. You will not be dissatisfied if you order these turkeys. Farmer Dan/Heartstone Farms does a great job shipping the turkeys and they also have other high quality meats from other local farms. It saves me the time running to a specialty butcher or high end grocery to get this kind of meat more directly from the farm. Yes it is more costly but that is because these meats are truly farm raised by real farmers and not factory produced. Go for it!

Double punch of flavor AND health!

I used a package of the ancestral ground beef in one of my regular ground beef dishes and it was incredible to note the flavor and smoothness of the ancestral blend in the dish. Not to mention, the nutrition provided by the ingredients is second to none! This will become a staple of my regular subscription for sure!

I placed my first order because I wanted to have a product that was Free of antibiotics, growth hormones or mRNA vaccines. It has become very important to me and my family to have wholesome tender meat and all natural chicken, turkey and sausage. So far we have had the chicken breast, thighs and turkey. Absolutely amazing, brings back memories of days on the farm as a little girl. It's a little pricey but I expect to pay more for good quality meat. Tried the ground beef. Made hamburger patties with mushroom gravy and mashed potatoes. These were the best patties I’ve ever had. Meat was so tender and moist. Highly recommend. Can’t wait to try more.

Chopped Steak Sandwich

I fried onions in butter chopped the shaved steak in bite size pieces,added a little Dorchester sauce and browned the meat. Then I buttered a long roll, put about half of the onions and steak in roll. It was so tender. I have enough for another sandwich.

Ground beef is ground beef, until you have eaten grass fed ground beef. Adding a touch of tallow or oil when cooking, along with the leanness of the meat, makes spaghetti or burger or taco night HEALTHY and DELICIOUS. I’m tired of feeding my children antibiotic-drenched meat. It’s a win for the entire family!

Ok so my husband and I had the sweet Italian sausage for dinner last night. I am grateful for leftovers for today because I almost swallowed my tongue they were that good!! Delish Marrow Bones!

What a treat to fine these Marrow Bones on Heartstone Farms website. We usually have to special order them from a butcher but there they were already packaged on the website. I snapped them up and when they were in the oven roasting we were salivating. Made a quick salad and served the marrow spread on good homemade bread. Comfort food doesn't come any easier or better!

The Stonewood Farm Vermont Turkey I purchased at the Monadnock Food Coop was the best roast turkey I ever had - and as professional chef that is saying a lot - but I can't always make the trip to Keene NH. Heartstone Farms made it easy for me to purchase more turkeys for myself, my son and his family, and a friend. Heartstone's online ordering and pricing was reasonable. Also awesome is the option for other meat, produced by farmers committed to the well being of their animals and the environment. Chicken breasts are the tops. Right now making chili with ground beef and pork. Environmentally friendly packaging is also important to me and Heartstone does as much as it can while adhering to food safety standards and the realities of shipping.

Cooked the Zesty Italian Sausage last night for dinner. It was perfect paired with egg noodles and sugar snap peas. I used a cast iron saute pan and the sausage crisped up nicely. My husband commented that it had such good flavor it did not need any mustard on the side. I will definetly be ordering more sausage in my next box.

Great Salmon!

My wife and I are so excited that Heart stone started carrying this wild caught Alaskan Sockeye! I season it with just salt and pepper, then cook it in grass fed salted butter and a little olive oil in a pan. 3-4 minute each side. Make sure you check for bones when prepping . Some have it and some are without.

First-time meat subscriber

This is the first time I have branched out to order meat. I love local fruits and veggies and have a neighbor who makes sourdough. Options to improve our meat has been limited. I grew up near an Amish community, where fresh meat was a staple, and let me tell you - the first bite of the first meal tasted just like HOME!!! SO GOOD!!! And the ability to adjust the contents and reach out for assistance is a blessing in this AI-world of ours. From start to finish, they walk their talk!

Wow…just wow! Another great order delivered from HF. The quality of the beef and poultry products are amazing and I look forward to cooking up clean, healthy dinners with plenty of leftovers. I made a batch of Tuscan white bean soup using 1 lb ground turkey and 1 lb sweet turkey sausage and it was SO good! I am not a pork sausage fan and found the turkey sausage a perfect compliment to my soup.

This is our first box from heartstone farm. We are pretty impressed so far with the steaks and the chicken breast.

We’re still working our way through the first box. There’s only my husband and I these days and our appetites aren’t what they once were. But so far the chicken drum sticks and thighs were delicious! Some of the best I’ve had (I think my husband would agree). The beef patties - great!! I should have ordered more of those for sure. The Ribeyes are thawing right now for tonight’s dinner. Can’t wait for the next order because I’m sure we’ll have finished the rest of the box by then!
