I have over 100,000 trouble free rounds using the x3. My shooting has greatly improved with Mantis dry fire practice. It has been great for diagnosing problems with trigger press etc. I am upgrading to the x10 and looking forward to the new features.

Any time I’ve had any questions or troubles with their product they’ve been very responsive. I had a mantis battery start to drain after a few years and contacted them. No questions asked they exchanged it. I also had one that would continuously reset the trigger after about a month, apparently they didn’t have an issue with it when I sent it in but they exchanged it anyway. Overall a great company.

Game changer!

This little device is helping me immensely! As a brand new gun owner, I've taken only one lesson. Although that helped me get started, I felt like when I trained on my own, I might've been picking up bad habits and not known about them. There were a lot of questions I still had. This is my third pink rhino cartridge purchase. I now have .380, 9mm, and 45ACP cartridges. I love working with the laser academy so much I now use it to practice with all my pistols. I love the Mantis X10 elite and the Mantis Laser Academy. The first time I used the Mantis was for live fire at the range and both my friend and I were impressed. I started off with the X3 and quickly fell in love with the system, after seeing the Black Beard X I knew I wanted to give it a shot. I was absolutely blown away at how much fun it is to train with the Blackbeard X. It's a fantastic system that helps me train more than ever with my AR rifle. I've been showing it off to friends and family and they love it too. As an instructor I also love that it can help students who are new to AR style rifles become more familiar with them before hitting the range. Great product. I’ve seen great improvements in my shooting skills. I absolutely enjoy the holster draw training. It helps you see where you're the most inefficient during the draw process so you could focus on that particular section. I would 100% recommend to anyone who is serious about their marksmanship and firearm manipulations skills. You'll see improvements within the first week. I would also recommend buying a Dryfire Mag. I can’t afford to have one on one lessons regularly and also wanted to be able to get more insight on where I’m going wrong. It’s a little difficult to understand at first, at least for me, but it gives you Sao much information I think it’s just overwhelming to take it all in. I noticed I’m having the same issue dry firing and live firing, which was really useful. It’s a new weapon and turned out the trigger needs a little work, it’s not just me. I prefer this over a red or green dot because not only do I not want to be dependent on them, it shows exactly what I’m doing and the consistency of the issue versus having to guess. Over time I won’t need it but it’s a great initial investment to right your bad habits.

A necessity for Infantry Units

We have adapted this into our daily use, and is now a huge prerequisite prior to going to the range. Utilizing the Mantis BlackbeardX has enabled us to achieve higher qualification scores while using less ammo.

I have been using the Mantis training system for about a month. It has made a very proficient shooter out of me in a shockingly short period of time. I have also already saved enough in the cost of ammo to pay for the system several times over. I can't recommend it highly enough.

I’ve tried a bunch of different ar training tools. Nothing compares to the mantis Blackbeard. It makes dry firing fun. I can now turn my living room into a range and if you ask me it doesn’t really get any better than that. The customer service is great I had an issue with my app emailed them and they had me up and running in no time. I really couldn’t recommend this thing enough. I was super unsure before buying but now that I have it I wouldn’t want to be without it.

Improve your skills & save money? Absolutely!

As a newbie firearms owner I took some basic classes to familiarize myself with proper safety, handling and shooting techniques. Over the next few months I went to my local range several times a week to practice with my Walther PPQ M2 22lr and my skills slowly improved to the point that I felt confident enough to purchase a Walther PDP Compact 9mm. But what a major difference, my ability to consistently hit the target went out the window! While searching the internet for solutions I found Mantis X. I watched multiple YouTube videos about this system and others similar to it and I decided to purchase the Mantis X10 directly from Mantis. Immediately upon receiving it I followed the intro course and I was so impressed that I then purchased the Mantis Laser Academy portable system. I've been using both these now for little over 2 weeks and my range practice has become so consistent at various distances that even the RO commented on my improvement. I continue to practice daily with both systems, both dry fire and live fire (X10 only at the range), which allows me to review my shots and correct any issues as they occur in real time! Plus, the dry fire practice has saved so much money on 9mm ammo! The savings in just the equivalent cost of @5-6 range sessions alone has more than justified/paid the initial cost and everything after that is money in my pocket! I have such confidence now that I've signed up for my state CCW qualification and I know that I'll pass with a 100 score! Thank you Mantis!

Stiener TOR-X Glock 19 CO2

My initial reaction when I received Steiner TOR-X was that it is well made (aluminum as opposed to plastic I found that when I first tried mounting the TOR-X to my demo Glock 19 CO2 Blowback it was bit awkward and clumsy however with practice it became easier each time now I can swap it out between weapons in seconds. The System itself is easy to setup and the fact that you can use it with live fire or dry ire or CO2 is a plus and makes it versatile Another added benefit besides the accelerometer feature used in the Mantis X training system there is the added benefit you can turn off the laser or you can use it as a laser during live fire. Adjusting the laser was relatively easy especially if you have a bore sighter (if not you should probably get one they are worth the price and not really all that expensive) I adjusted mine with the bore sighter and the TOR-X laser on at about a range of about 30 feet so the tow laser dots fell on top of each other. the only difficult is handling the Allen wrench and keeping things steady because of the adjustment screw placement. Overall evaluation I found it very easy to use and set up and would make a great gift for any serious shooter. One word of caution however is to make sure of the compactivity because even though it uses the same accelerometer system in the other Mantis systems the addition of the built in laser can comprise the fitment on some weapons, I.e;; I tried it on Glock 19 and Colt 45 Commander I also tried on a couple of other weapons from my inventory and found that it will not direct mount to SIG P365 Micro/compact, SCCY, Springfield Hellcat Compact, M&P Shield this is do to the laser and button system bushing on the front of the trigger guard or lack or a Picatinny rail, and the length or ra area generally being to short. I suggested to Mantis that they try the fitment on a variety of handguns particularly and publish a list on the site for ordering to help facilitate knowing if TOR-X is right for their weapon. Again over all I think the pros far outweigh the cons for the avid Shotter and would make an excellent addition to anyone's arsenal of toys especially when you add in the tortuously increasing cost of ammunition this s with all the MantisX taring systems is worth their weight in gold and should definitely be a consideration for any shooter, law enforcement Hunter or Military I woud actually reate this device at 4.5 stars

The Mantis X3 really did help me learn what I was doing wrong at the range with my pistol and the great thing is that it works with rifles too. I didn't realize the amount of tiny movements that I was doing and that they were fouling up my accuracy when shooting. The Mantis X3 has taught me what I need to fix and how to fix those mistakes such as too much finger on the trigger, not enough support hand, holding too tightly or too loosely. It even catches me pushing forward in anticipation of trigger pull. I also have the Mantis Blackbeard X. The Blackbeard X has also helped with staying accurate with rifles . The trigger reset feature on the Blackbeard X is a fantastic feature. I've had other products where I would have to reset the rifle after each trigger pull which is very annoying, but with the Blackbeard X it lets you stay on target and shoot like you would on the range so you don't get bad habits resetting the trigger each time. Both products don't just let you know how your shots are, they even let you know how you move the rifle or pistol from the low ready or holster position so you know exactly how you are performing from start to finish. Just like the product, the customer service is great too. I had a million questions before I bought and the guy I talked with answered every question in such detail that I knew exactly what I was getting. I would recommend the Mantis products.

I have been using Mantis products since January of 2023, I started with the Laser Academy System, now I have the Blackbeard X, and the Mantis X 10 Elite. I have over 110,000 trigger pulls with the Mantis X and over 50,000 with the Laser Academy.

Had high hopes that were exceeded

The BlackbeardX system from Mantis ended up being better than expected. It was easy to assemble, zero, operate and, when finished, store away. I've been using it daily which is saving me money on ammo while still allowing me to get in my range drills and couldn't be happier with the results I've had. The generally free app is also easy to use and not intrusive at all like some others. Some of the more advanced drills cost $5 with full access unlocked at $50, but if you just want to do some range shooting those are all absolutely free and just require a target set up; I do recommend the Mantis targets they sell as they align better with the app and are of high quality. Overall, great product. A bit more expensive than the other systems on the market but you are also getting a superior product that allows a resetting trigger without operating the charging handle, easy to operate system, a generally free app that is updated fairly regularly and no more tiny batteries needed since it's all 100% rechargable by USB cable (which is provided).

I am a precision pistol competitor. At last, I have a concrete way to evaluate the quality of my dry fire sessions. Rather than saying "Oh, that one looked good." I can now see very minute faults in my technique and take steps to correct my process.

You cant go wrong with the Blackbeard X. I have had several other products, such as the old NLT model, and this is by far the easiest to set up on your rifle. It literally take seconds and you are ready to do all the training you need. I have purchased these stands for the mantisx targets. They were delivered fast, were easy to assemble, and working great.

I have been using this for several weeks now and I still don’t feel as if I have reached my limit of getting better. Every shot and every session has useful data to review to make sure I’m getting better every single time. As an instructor I know that I will always be using this system to full advantage not only for my teaching purposes but also to help my clients understand what is happening as well. My only qualm with the system is that sometimes it has issues registering some of the faster shots from older systems that have their own trigger resets. To include the Blackbeard itself. But that’s not enough for me to dock any points.

This is by far my favorite training item I've purchased. Being able to practice with my actual trigger pull and account for height-over-bore is a game changer. I especially like the printable targets that work with the app to track shot placement. I've saved thousands on ammo in repetitive training alone. This is also a great tool to teach family members the basics of rifle handling prior to live fire.

Mantis New TOR-X

Have you tried the MantisX systems before? Have you also enjoyed putting a laser sight on your firearm? Ever hoped that you could have both devices on your firearm without the need or having to remove the mantis system to install the laser back on? This is where TOR-X enters the chat. I have had the pleasure or testing out the TOR-X system and it lives up to its name. It merges the mantis system with Steiner’s laser sights. TOR-X comes with a green laser sight. It still connects to your mantis app the same way as before, it even changes the display of the app from red to blue which is a nice little touch. You will continue to receive the instant feedback on your trigger manipulation and firearm handling. It is just like have an instructor at your side while you’re either dry firing at home or live firing at the range. The real estate that the unit takes up on your firearm is the same as a weapon light. It is not crazy heavy or anything like that. If you’re not paying attention you would not even know that the device attached to the firearm is both a laser and a sophisticated training system all in one. The only small suggestion that I can come up with is, if the green laser flashed whenever you had a great trigger press on the mantis app. So not only would we get the ding on the app but we would see the laser flash to confirm it was a great or excellent trigger press.

I prefer shooting outdoors instead of indoor ranges,but sometimes depending on The weather Or time due to the fact, I have to drive an hour to where I shoot, sometimes I can’t make it to the shooting range, With the mantis system, I’m still able to get some practice in and I’ve used several systems like this one and this is actually the most accurate training programs I have used and I am really enjoying the system and wish I had purchased it way sooner. I tell all my friends they should check out mantis, especially those who live in subdivisions and have nowhere to shoot.

X-10 Elite Ease of Use!

I had one of the very first Mantis X systems and had to use a screw to put it on my firearm. I love the X-10 Elite, all you have to do is flip a lever and install onto the rail. Makes it much easier to use. There a few added drills that I didn't have before and still investigating those but I love using the drills that I am used to already. My accuracy has improved hands down compared to just dry firing without any feedback. Feedback is important for improvement and Mantis X makes that possible with very specific details which make it much easier to adjust. Get the Mantis X system you won't regret it!

Maintain and improve skills!

As I live in a rural community with no ranges nearby, it is difficult for me to get enough range time. The Mantis X10 Elite Shooting Performance System allows me to get plenty of dry fire practice at home, at any time. Not only does it keep track of my drills, it gives me helpful feedback on shooting mechanics, identifies issues I am having, and gives me tips on how to improve. It has many helpful videos right on the app. And, when I do get to the range, it helps me with many other shooting mechanics and issues, so it is a welcome companion there also. It's almost like having a firearms trainer right there with you! I already know that this is improving my skills, plus keeping the skills I am learning in practice. I would recommend this to all shooters.

Go through battery's kinda fast. Need to be extra carful when using in semiauto, extractor can hit cartridge and scratch it if the bolt is let forward to hard.
