Where do you invest a little money these days? Banks with their pitiful interest rates, volatile shares or even those tempting emails you receive wishing you to invest money in the Um Bongo drink company in the Congo? After some research and a good read through the VCL Vintners website we decided that an investment to leave as a legacy for our grandkids was a good bet. Stuart and Lauren of VCL provided a professional service and we have no hesitation in recommending them, if you believe this is a good option for you. So, we have three casks maturing in Scotland as I type and the Congolese alternative will have lose out.

Have not had any update or communication for a long time

I was looking for an investment that would outperform my ISA (mind you I could leave it under the floor boards to do that). Having thought about whisky as an investment before, though never looked into it properly, I searched the internet and VCL seemed to tick the box for a first time investor. I was given plenty of information and assistance (with no hard sell). Everything happened exactly as Stuart said. Now I can just sit back and wait for the whisky and my investment to mature.

Nearly all of my encounters were with Ben Lancaster and he was superb from start to finish, from our first call where he explained the procedure and how buying whiskey works to giving me a full understanding of the industry without being pushy, to our follow up calls where he made sure I understood every aspect. The suggestions he sent over were speedy and had so much information on each whiskey he recommended and the reasoning behind each brand, the price point I asked him to come in at was just under budget which was perfect because I didn't feel he was pushing to try and get me to invest more than I was comfortable with. Overall the service provided by VCL and Ben was great, everything from the information provided to the speed in which everything was sent through was excellent.
