Excellent event - course, organisation, atmosphere - which did Southampton proud. The handmade inspirational placards abundantly displayed by children and residents throughout the day were a great personal touch. (By way of constructive feedback, please consider 2 aspects: (a) to include the harbour as part of the course and (b) faster and more visible medical support for runners in need). I think this race was really well organised! It was tough in the heat but the atmosphere was amazing. My only comment was about the start for the half marathon - it wasn't well marked as it went around the corner where the bays were for each time bracket, and the pacers weren't very visable! Otherwise an amazing race.

Great camaraderie among runners and crowds but overall the event was not as good as last year. The start felt too crowded and the atmosphere on the run back into town wasn't as special, the long downhill through the common was wonderful and this year the end just lacked something.

I throughly enjoyed participating in the 10k it was a great experience and was able to raise money for charity! However on the day i left my race number at home and when it came to asking some of the people working there about how i would go about still participating i mustve come into contact with possibly the rudest lady i have ever met. She seemed to tell me how it was a massive issue that i didnt have my number and that I clearly didnt open my eyes enough to notice the information signs, i didnt want to make a big deal at the time as the race was a few minutes away but i have severe learning disabilities and struggle to read so this was why i didnt notice the signs so was why i was asking for some help. I could accept what she was saying but it came across very aggressive and it turned out it wasnt really a massive issue i forgot it as i was able to purchase another one with ease.

The build up at the start was a little lack lustre, with no commentary or count down to the start. The lack of pens to prevent slow runners heading to the front was very frustrating

Thought it was brilliant. Really well organised. I've heard a few complain about the marathoners /half marathoners, however, if you are used to Running in races then keeping left is expected. Personally for me it was great.
