It’s absolutely beautiful and looks just like it appears in the picture. I bought the larger box for my aunt and the smaller one for me for Christmas. The turquoise color really stands out. Every day I will see our blessed Theotokos on my dresser.

It has been great using it with my kids everyday before or after evening prayer. Learning about the journey from the beginning to the birth of Christ.

This book came to me at the most perfect timing, when I am experiencing internal struggles in my own personal healing journey. I thirsted for something more than just soothing words, but deep practical insights where I can examine closely into my life. This book not only helps me achieve that through creating my own narrative, and identifying the roles we take in our traumas, but it also uses therapeutic theories (e.g. CBT, Case Study, EMDR) to help elaborate the process of healing. It also provides helpful practices to break down and process strong emotions. As an Art Therapist myself, it helps when there is a frame of reference to work through intangible emotions. Father Makoul beautifully described how insights can be a healing process, and how we need to accept it as God’s wisdom and gift for us to live the life He intended for us. It teaches us to let go of the false narrative we create due to generational cycle of unnecessary thinking patterns, and It breaks down all the essential components of the healing journey into valuable skills that we can practice over and over again. This book has truly helped me find the light at the end of the tunnel. I would highly recommend it to people who have had a lot of soul searching in their lives but would like something more practical and pragmatic to enable them to let go of the traumatic pain and fear that holds them back.

My daughter-in-law is converting. She loves the study Bible. It is very nicely bound.

It is a beautiful Icon, and I love it.I hung it as soon as I received it. Great addition to my wall of Icons!

Take it from one of his “resistors” this book is a must read for any parish leader, priest, parish council member or parishioner.

Having lived this transformational journey alongside Fr. Evan at St. Spyridon as a founding member, Parish Council President, and ministry leader I can say he has captured our Parish Health roadmap perfectly.

I am a cradle Orthodox of Greek heritage and dug my heels in with each step in the beginning. Challenging his concepts and resisting the changes soon gave way to embracing them when I realized he was onto something. Our little mission church has grown immensely and we have welcomed so many into the Orthodox Faith. The philoxenia of our Greek heritage and founding families is not lost, but rather it is enhanced and we are able to share His love.

Our priorities truly fit our Vision “An Orthodox community where people find transformation in Jesus Christ” and under Fr. Evan’s love, guidance, and a whole lot of patience, we are sharing that transformation with so many! I hope you can do the same by utilizing his Parish Health roadmap in your own churches. The time to do that is now.

Finally decided to spend the money on it, and it was worth every penny.

I haven´t finished reading it yet, but I highly appreciate the erudition of Stephen de Young. He is very familiar with the Scripture. "God is the Man of War" was very good as well. MV

This little book speaks volumes and packs a punch. It’s so simple yet so profound. Easy to understand what the author is trying to convey. This book will challenge you as it did me. I’m really glad I bought this small and wonderful book.

This is an awesome book! The only complaint I have is it wasn’t long enough.

My friends have complimented me on choosing Ancient Faith cards in years past -- the artwork is so beautiful!

A yearly purchase. Great for myself and for gifts. Quality printing.

Did not find this book helpful. Spoke to my priest about it, and we had a good discussion, he clarified many things. So it was good to be able to speak to my priest about this topic. He was very helpful and increased my understanding

Well written, good source book for first century church history/theology.

Absolutely stunning!

Fr. Evan, in his concise and cogent manner, shares thoughtful and practical wisdom to parishes seeking to recapture our Lord's command to make disciples and train them in the ways of Christ. He tackles the concept of "parish health" in an impressive approach that encourages and ensures a community's vibrancy and growth.

As his parishioner and as a ministry leader, I am privileged to experience Fr. Evan's exceptional leadership skills and our resultant healthy and thriving community. As a professional psychologist, I am amazed to observe his deft implementation of principles of organizational development, community psychology, and healthy relationship functioning, paired with significant doses of compassion, humility, and love.

Excellent, readable, concise.

A lovely calendar with good information on Saints and fun projects and recipes for my goddaughter to try!
