Thinking Orthodox: Understanding and Acquiring the Orthodox Christian Mind
Excellent! This book is an “essential” read to understand our Orthodox faith - but even more so, how to evaluate what is truly Orthodox. I now have an easy “litmus” test, thanks to Jeannie, by which to evaluate what I hear from the culture and conflicting voices within Orthodoxy. I listened to the audio in her own voice - and Jeannie truly does an awesome audio. Her voice is expressive and clear and even “comforting.”

A Long Walk with Mary: A Personal Search for the Mother of God
I am almost finished with this heartfelt, soul searching book. I have been very touched and I know reading and pondering her thoughts is already helping my relationship with the Theotokos. May God have mercy onus.

The Orthodox Study Bible, Ancient Faith Edition, Leathersoft: Ancient Christianity Speaks to Today’s World
I'm a Lutheran who has recently begun exploring the Orthodox Church. Having discovered Ancient Faith Ministries through Father Andrew Steven Damick's Amon Sûl podcast, I became curious to learn more about this ancient tradition of the faith and decided to purchase this Bible to learn the tradition and interpretations of the church fathers.
As for the physical attributes of the book, the cover, ribbon, icons, and prayers are all beautiful and exude quality. However, the paper is pretty thin, and the text isn't line-matched, so can be a bit hard to read in certain lighting. That said, it's still easier to read than a lot of bibles, and is only a minor complaint.
I've only had this Bible for about 3 days and am very impressed with the study notes, which are already adding substantial depth to my reading/devotional time that will make this Bible a personal treasure for my faith life. Can't wait to read more!

A Long Walk with Mary: A Personal Search for the Mother of God
had the honor of interviewing author Brandi Willis Schreiber today in the Orthodox Christian Book Club. I chose Brandi’s book for the month of August to reflect on our own personal journeys with the Theotokos during the Dormition Fast.
This book is perfect for someone who is looking for a modern personal journey about becoming closer to the Theotokos. Those who want to read about how someone else grew in the faith by forming a better relationship with the Mother of God will benefit from reading this book.
I enjoyed reading a chapter each night after my kids were in bed. It also opened discussions with my husband about his perspective on the Theotokos and her intercessions in our lives.
When I became Orthodox, I was relieved to sing the Nativity Hymns to the Theotokos in church. I always wanted to sing about Mary and her role as the Mother of God and when we learned those hymns for the first time as a mission choir I rejoiced!
If you haven’t read this book, but are looking for something to spark your prayer life to the Theotokos after the Dormition fast, I highly recommend it.

Divine Liturgy Prayer Book (abridged edition)
I like that the serbian is in cyrilic and the slovanic is in latin. That way I get to practice reading in the old alphabet and pronouncing in the old tongue.

It fulfilled the promise of its beautiful cover, I personally learned about a St. Modestos, and right there asked his help for my elderly Siamese cat, who seemed very close to dying. That day, she started eating again, and has gotten steadily better. I took the book to church with me - --everyone who saw it was amazed, and the parents all said they were going to buy one for their kids. It will soon be in our bookstore and library. A friend was amazed and delighted when she found her little Welsh Saint at the end. (Sorry, I don't recall her name, and the book is "out" again.)
