I really can't explain why these work. My daughter had a set that helped her through two hand surgeries as a toddler. The days she wore it, she never had an emotional outburst.
Recently, I bought myself two of them to help my stress. My daughter (now 5) and husband take them off each other to wear. I wouldn't say fight for them but we're learning how to take turns and give them to each other when someone is feeling emotional.
