My kid is a greater skater for a 6 yr old, but he's very small and lightweight. He likes to ride a wider board, but they're heavy for him....hard to get Ollies high enough off the ground. The combination of his new Bamboo deck and some hollow trucks have done the trick. Love your products!

Bought a blank drop though deck to replace a Loaded Dervish FLEX 1 deck. The Bamboo board has a bit less flex than the Dervish, but for 1/3 the price I'm not complaining! Great customer service and prompt shipping.

I used to skate in the 90s. What's crazy is I just bought a Bamboo board for my 14 year old daughter. And I love it. (So does she.). Quality construction, good pop, beautiful minimalist design. We've had it for a month or so now, and it's holding up well to the abuse it's designed for. Maybe I sneak out with it from time to time. Now to get my kick flip back...

I originally started buying these decks because of the great price and who couldn't say no to a "buy two, get the third free" deal. Since then I've owned ~8 bamboo decks. They slide well (almost like a slick deck) and last long. They have good pop but it's the shape that really does it for me. To me, the nose and tail are at the perfect length and angle. My heel flips and kick flips flick just fine with the concave.
I would say they last about 3 months on average for me (~190lbs and skating flat/street 3-4xs a week). A standard ~$50 deck lasts me about 3 months as well. A cheaper blank (say from CustomSkateboards.com) has broken on me in 1-2 weeks (happened twice over the last year).

I've now bought 2 blank bamboo boards to paint myself and I've been completely happy with both of them. The boards are sturdy, but with a little flex to them. I've sanded them down to take away the varnish and it didn't crack or weaken the board. Price was great for what I got.
