Nest box went together well. Birds took to it right away. Also purchased the Perch Popper. Works great, once I figured out the programing. They could use a better How To video on that.

Large (48") Reversible Roll Out Chicken Nest Box (Up To 50 hens)
This is a good product and a better idea. There were screws missing when I received, a hole in the plastic bag so I imagine they were lost in shipping, not the manufacturer’s fault. The chickens can be trained to use however I had to remove one of the red privacy shades as they would not go in the box. After some training they use this very well.

I am thrilled with my new Best Nest Box. It came right away and I put it together and hung it in the run. At first the girls were scared of it. One of them tried to fly on top of it and slid off. One by one the girls started laying, at first in the coop and on the ground ground. I put a cinder block in front of the nest box as a step. Now I have 8 girls laying and 7 are using the Best Nest box! The eggs are clean and I no longer have to worry about the chickens breaking the eggs and eating them. Thank you Best Nest Box!

Very pleased with the quality of the product, speed of delivery, and ease of assembly. Not all chickens are the same and you may need to use a few tricks to get them to use the box. However once they are laying in there, it works as advertised.

Works a little differently than I expected but does its intended job perfectly. I put the bar up while gathering eggs and at around 10:00 each night, "pop" it comes back down freeing me from rising with the chickens and manually lowering it. Installation was easy, the instructions even told you what tools you need. I LOVE my Best Nest Boxes, and this is a labor-saving addition.

Medium Extended (36") Reversible Roll Out Chicken Nest Box (Up To 32 hens)
Construction of the egg box deserves a 5. It is well made, easy to assemble, and solid. I can’t review its functionality yet as it is too cold to open up one side of my coop to install it. I have a concern about the open area under the collection side. I don’t like that it leaves a giant hole in the side of my coop allowing cold air to flow in. I plan to put a plywood “shelf” underneath to block it. I will make it so I can remove it for cleaning. I haven’t seen any other comments about this so maybe it is just me. I do hope the chickens learn to use it

We initially purchased the Best Nest Box to stop our chickens from eating their eggs. However, we got so much more: Not only are we getting all the eggs, they’re super clean, the perch popper keeps the chickens out at night, and we’re now able to get them from outside of our chicken tractor. Very happy and satisfied with this purchase.

Had a good external nest box but it was not a roll out so I started to get a lot of broken eggs from chickens pecking them.
I love this new (best nest box) cause I have had no more broken eggs and they are all clean.

Good Box, Chickens Won’t Use

It’s been more than two weeks since I installed the nest box on my coop, replacing our old egg box that had deteriorated. This is a similar size and installed in the same place in their coop, but they won’t use it. I even tried moving the flaps out of the way to make sure they understand they can go in there. But it’s a big nope. We have gotten a few eggs - laid on the floor of the coop because they want nothing to do with this nest box.
No idea what to try next!
