these work exactly how they are marketed. They seem well constructed and our hens went right into them. We attached it to a chicksaw and works great.

Just what I needed, thanks

We purchased two of the 48” nest boxes two weeks ago and installed them last week. The chickens took right to them and have only had a few floor eggs. If we expand our flock, we’ll definitely look at buying more of these.

It sounded like a great idea, so I bought one of these about six years ago and put it in my coop. Honestly, I put fake eggs in and around it. I never got any of my chickens to lay in it. So there it sat until my most recent batch of chickens got older.

Now that my chickens have started using it and peer pressure the rest to use it, it is amazing! Eggs are clean! No cracked eggs from pecking or anything else.


Therefore, I bought another one for my second coop. It makes life so much easier when I go out of town to ask somebody to watch my house when they don’t have to go rummaging through the coop for dirty eggs. It’s easy enough to open that my children can help me gather eggs every day.

Now that I’ve got my chickens trained, it is awesome!

I was nervous about the hens transitioning from an old tradition laying box to new best nest box. Once I installed it and took the old boxes out they seem to love it and all the eggs are in the new set up. So far I have had it for 2 weeks and I love it.

It’s been frustrating as our hens won’t use it. We have implemented all the tips listed on the website and so far no luck. We have a flock of 20 birds and while there has been a lot of interest in the nest box overall, they just refuse to lay there. We got the Perch Popper too and no luck. It’s been about a month but we are still holding out hope.

It really works. I couldn't be more happy with the nesting box. I've only had it up a few days, and the only problem I've had is getting my hens used to going in it. The quality of the material is excellent, its operation is well thought out, and it functions just as advertised.

We were having lots of problems with dirty eggs, and this has essentially solved the problem. The only difficulty I've had is getting the chickens who have been used to laying in less than ideal circumstances to use the nesting box. Hopefully that will come in time.

Ordered as replacement for original

I bought the Best Nest Box and honestly… it lives up to its name.
The eggs come out so pristine that I low-key think my chickens are staging a cleanliness competition. No coop dives, no muddy eggs, no escape attempts. Just delicious clean eggs and a happy chicken mom.

I have three of their nest boxes and love them. I recently ordered 3 nesting pads and after placing the order I realized I ordered the wrong ones. I contacted the company and they said it was no problem. They cancelled the order quickly and refunded my money. I then ordered the correct ones and they were shipped, and arrived quickly. The boxes have held up great and are still going strong. The best part of all this is that it's MADE IN AMERICA.

Been a very cold winter and frozen eggs were a real problem. Ended up using a seed starter mat controlled by an ink bird set at 38f. It's great. No more dirty or frozen eggs.

The directions leave a little to be desired, explaining the nuts and bolts. Once built I tore out the old nest boxes and replaced with the best nest box in the same place and the chickens took to it the first day. I was worried after watching videos but had no problem.

This is our second Best Nest Box. We looked at other boxes but nothing compares to the Best Nest Box.

I have 2 of these, and I love them. In fact, I am ordering 2 more to install inside my new coop.

Using this in northern New England, purchased in early January and have been using several weeks. So far so good - shipped promptly, working properly. Happy to find a lighting solution for coops without electricity, surprising that there aren’t many or any on the market, isn’t it. I use a 5.0 Ah 18v lotion ion battery (Makita) and get several days out of a battery charge, depending on the weather… we’ve had low temps recently and swap out batteries more quickly, but still at least a few days. That’s fine and reasonable, and much better than having to charge a Jackery generator to hang and then reset a timer every day. I’m including here more for information for prospective buyers (there was little on the website). I like the box, it’s dust and waterproof, and easy to open with gloves on. Easy to program. I was hoping to swap the bulb out with someone a little stronger, but didn’t work - I may look a little more closely to determine if it that’s a possibility. But this bulb is lighting for 200 hens in a 20x48 range coop and production has been steady from my previous setup, which supported a brighter bulb. All in all, this seems to be a good option. Thank you for offering it.

These are very helpful. It's nice to have a few to rotate through our coop. Some of our girls are reluctant to roost overnight which makes the nest box pretty yucky!

High quality! The best design that i have seen . Hens cannot get back to the eggs like other designs. Easy to assemble .
