i use them on the front porch of the coop…really easy to clean…most of the time i just have to shake off the poop or spray them off if there is runny poop. thinking about getting another 6.

We loved our first nest box so much we bought a second one. The box stopped the egg eating completely. We did add a foam cushion at the base of the roll-out because our eggs were so big, they hit the folded over lip and some got small cracks.

If eggs are rolling too fast, you can also shim your nest box to decrease the amount of roll. :)

Working well with 45 old hens. Only 5 or so still haven’t figured it out!

This nest box appears to be very well made. Took me a little time to put together. The instructions were very clear except for the lid to the egg collection box. I had to look at a couple of YouTube videos to understand how to attach. No problem though. Have not used it yet with hens, but it appears it will work just fine. Overall, I am very pleased with the quality of this nest box.

I was both happy and surprised! The first day my chickens laid 17 in the nest box with 3 on the ground, since then once in a while I will get 1 on the ground and 38 in the nests. I am very happy for my purchase. Thanks, Sarah Maples

We love our nesting box. Thank you so much for making such a great product. No more broken eggs! We bought the perch popper as well and it works 98% of the time but there have been a couple of times that it did not.

Thank you! The bolts on the hinge brackets need to be loosened. They are too tight. This is why the Popper is sometimes not releasing. Please call or email if you need more information.

I have a friend with one of these! Once I saw it in person and listened to him rave about it, I just had to get one for myself! Awesome design and easy to install!

it would be a 5+ star review if it had a hen push-out feature incorporated into it. I have had to add a piano hinge at the top back and cut out a rectangle with magnetic strips on both side and the bottom in order to push any hens out and most importantly reach through and pull the roost bar up since my rollout nest box sets at the opposite side of the entrance to the hen house. I have just ordered a 36" box which i will have to do the same thing too. It is a shame that Best Nest Box did not match what their competition is doing. That is my only complaint on this otherwise well built, quality nest box.

Thanks for your orders and feedback. I'll forward your suggestion to the product design team. We have considered this feature in the past, but the demand for the "push-out" feature has been relatively low and we felt that keeping the nest box as rigid and secure (from predators) as possible more important criteria for most customers. In case this is helpful, some customers who assemble their nest as a rear roll out, attach a rope to the nest box roost bar in order to close the perch bar from the rear.

It's been two weeks and are chickens have acclimatized to the new nesting box well. We used to use milk crates for nesting boxes. So for the transition I cut a milk crate, and put it in the Best Nest Box and they were curious right away. Our eggs are finally clean and not pecked at everytime. Worth every cent. Can't wait to get the perch popper.

The hens took a couple of days to start using it, but they have gradually figured it out. Eggs are clean! Assembly was simple and instructions were good. I will buy another at some point.

I wish I had known about the best nest box sooner!!! It has been great! I never have to wash mud, or chicken poo off any eggs. No more dirty eggs and no more broken eggs from hens and Its a big time saver too ! I had been concerned that the hens wouldn't use it , or that they would sleep in there but none of that happened. They lay their egg and exit. Its enjoyable to collect the eggs. I very happy with the nest box. I have been telling others about it and encouraging them to get it.

This is our third Best Next Box. We have been using them since we found two of them at swap three years ago. Our flock has expanded and we just needed more laying room. We love having clean eggs, without damage from pecking. I cannot recommend these enough to any egg producer. They pay for themselves in the first year, with reduced cleaning and less egg loss from the hens eating our eggs.
