At first the chickens were afraid of it I took out all my old nest boxes like some one recommend. it sounds so hollow compared to the wooden nest boxes. We went from about 40 eggs a day to 14 the chickens would rather lay the eggs on the floor then in the roll out nest boxes. now 3 months later the chickens lay most of them in the roll out nest boxes some still lay on the floor. I think it may have helped if we put the red curtains on the old nest boxes for about a week before installing the new boxes.

It is nice, but it is very expensive. They should sell a set of plans and some of the parts and then you can make your own.

Fast shipping and easy to follow instructions. Glad we chose this. Did a slight modification to the coop plans we used in order to retrieve eggs from outside. Excited to see those little butt nuggets when our girls are old enough.

I am thrilled with this nesting box!!! I feel like this is the nesting box that I would have liked to have since we raised our first batch of ladies, over 15 years ago! I will try to concoct some video of praise for your wonderful product.
And it all started with the quality salesmanship of Rose! We all love the video with her talking about the design and ease of use!
happy family in Rhode Island!!

It is working great. I am setting up an electric solenoid to release the perch in the mornings. I will try to send a picture when it is completed.

It’s super well built. But it is too pricey. I believe if it were slightly more affordable it may be more appealing.

I am very impressed with this product. It was
shipped promptly, and was easy to assemble. I
ordered an extra pad with the original order and
it didn’t ship with the original order. With a simple

Great product! An investment that will pay for itself in clean eggs and and eliminate egg eating by hens AND guardian dogs.

Yesterday I did my pre-winter coop clean and organize. Part of that included adding my new small Nest Box and cleaning my original larger Nest Box. The original scrubbed up clean and ready to go back in the coop in 5 minutes with the help of a scrub brush, and we popped the new box on top of a couple of milk crates and screwed it to the wall of the coop in 5 minutes. I added the second box because occasionally I have a cranky hen that tries to keep the other girls out of the box. With two there will be a back up for when I haven’t yet gotten out and evicted the broody biddy. My Best Nest nest boxes are a major time saver and egg saver. I bought two other similar “roll away” type boxes and a couple hens quickly learned to duck their heads under and break eggs. They can’t do that with the Best Nest boxes. Sometimes trying to save a few dollars costs you more in the long run. In this case I highly recommend buying the BEST NEST box and saving yourself money, time, and aggravation.
