How The 2022 SECURE Act Proposed Regulations Will Impact Your Clients
I was expecting more about the legislation passed by Congress in April 2022. I am an auditor of savings and pension plans and I think the material was more targeted toward tax and financial planning professionals, so I was not as up to speed on some of the planning and trust aspects that were probably second nature to many participants. A two to three sentence framing comment at the inception may have been helpful (objective to help create maximum flexibility on time frame and timing of distributions for cash flow and tax management purposes). I figured this out about halfway through. This review is probably more of a reflection on me than the course content or presenter. I did learn several things that will be helpful to me in my work, and personally.
