U.S. International Tax Certificate
I've been working as an international tax generalist (if there is such a thing) for the past 20 years. TCJA changed a lot of things and even though I reviewed this material, at the time of the act, many things were still up in the air - as some still are. This program is an excellent review of the current state of play in the international corporate arena. As I tend to focus on individuals, I woudl have preferred to see a little more on the individual side, but the sexy parts were in the corporate arena so that is the focus of this course.
If you think "I know international tax" and try to fake this course - I can tell you that wont happen. Great job.

I appreciate how many options for courses there are offered within this bundle. I work in private accounting and I can find topics that are relevant to me. My reason for giving the program 4 stars is because the sorting function isn't ideal. I wish that there was an option to sort the course catalog to only see courses not already taken. Going through page after page of completed program isn't ideal when trying to find another course to take.

Audit Workpapers: Documenting Field Work
I facilitated a group training and included this course in the the curriculum that included different experience levels of staff. There was something that each person could take away to document or review field work better. The course took a little long to get into the material. That would be my only suggestion for altering it. The course included time for dialogue in the room and that provided good learning opportunities for staff that is relatively new to auditing.

AICPA MyCPE Manager
Ended up paying an extra $500 to WA state after being told that my ethics requirement wasn't fulfilled even though this myCPE Manager said it was. Further, the state now provides a free online CPE tracker.
AICPA charges for everything, this product should be free to paying AICPA members. Especially if it isn't updated, like other users from other states have noticed.

The course was a great self-paced introduction to data analytics. The applications were well thought out. However, I did not recieve the digital badge. So beware of that.

AICPA CPExpress - State Societies
Worst 1 yet, completed this on the 8th of August and today is September 10. I haven't received my badge in over a month. No time frame has been given to me. Every time I call they tell me they will send an email to another department and it should take 5 to 7 business days to get back to me and still haven't had anything. Last conversation I was told they just transitioned to Acclaim and there's no timeline on when I will receive it. I am very disappointed and need the service I paid for fulfilled ASAP!!!!!!!!

AICPA CPExpress - State Societies
This has been the worst platform, I completed this certificate program on August 8, and today is September 10 and I have not received my badge. I spent $685 to wait over a month. Whenever I call, they tell me they do not have an estimated date on when i will receive my badge and certificate, which is very unacceptable. Whenever I go for an interview, I have to explain that this is on the way and look like an idiot. I was told that they are transitioning from Credly to Acclaim and I have not received no response as to when my badge will be issued. At this point giving this platform a review may help my case. I hope management reads this and helps me!!!!!!!!

Specialized Forensic Accounting Certificate
If I could give this 0 starts that would just about cover my thoughts! My Recommendation - DO NOT BUY. The content is fine, but the tests for each module are horrible. In one section, there were 19 questions on the exam and at least 15 of them could not be answered by reviewing the slide presentation material or listening to the narrative. In many, many cases I was forced to go to a Google search to attempt to answer the question in the exam.
The worst online learning experience I've had! Save your money.

Been using this since they started this subscription. The quarterly workbook keeps me on track to get my CPE hours in throughout the year. Subjects are as varied and pertinent as the Journal of Accountancy is each month.

AICPA MyCPE Manager
I purchased the CPE Manager in October 2018 and renewed early in April this year. It wasn't until the first 6/30 (2019) when the issue has finally emerged.
I bought the product to track my Minnesota reporting cycle. As a lot of you may know, the reporting cycle is different for licensees certified in the first half of the year and those receiving the active status in the second half of the year. My initial license date falls in May 2018. According to the administrative rules issued by MN board, my 3 year cycle for 120 CPEs and annual 20 minimum CPEs starts on July 1st 2018 and ends on June 30th 2021. However, the CPE Manager uses my license date as the starting date of the reporting cycle and pulled up my cycle by one year. which messes up the yearly reporting allocation and the deficit. After reaching out to the service support agent, I was told that there is no way to change the reporting cycle start date, which defeats the sole purpose of this product. And they are only going to refund me the 2019 ~ 2020 portion I paid for.
In my humble opinion, the new recognition rule asks for recognizing revenue when performance obligations are met. I'm not sure if AICPA needs to follow that ASU 606 rule when it comes to revenue recognition. However it is quite surprising to me learn that the AICPA is comfortable with recognizing revenue without delivering to what CPE Manager promised to do for me. Instead of having my money back, I would rather see they keep my money and have the CPE Manager working properly.
Quite a disappointing experience, to be honest.

Update on 8/9/2019 - After initial 1 star review.
The solution manager reached out and addressed the issue promptly. While initial launch is 1 star, the follow up is worth 4 stars. I was told that the issue will be fixed in the next maintenance update. Will trust and verify. (If the AICPA can get it restored timely without washing away my early renewal discount on this, I think they can get a 5 star on case management)

SOC 2® Reporting on an Examination of Controls at a Service Organization Relevant to Security, Availability, Processing Integ
The "SOC 2® Reporting on an Examination of Controls at a Service Organization Relevant to Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality, or Privacy" is a great resource but AICPA has made it almost impossible to use by those of us in highly regulated industries because it is an Adobe application we need. Adobe is considered a High-Risk application and is banned by many. There are many excellent eReaders that do not require Adobe that is much more secure. The Amazon Kindle is a great example and it can protect your digital content better than Adobe ever will.
If AICPA really cared about security, we would see a change!!
Were it not for the use of Adobe Digital Editions, It would receive 5 stars!

Essentials of Personal Financial Planning
Outstanding text for teaching the essentials of PFP to college students. I have used this text as the main source of course material for an upper division business school class. Very well written and does a good job of touching on all aspects of the PFP body oh knowledge. A great place to start exploring the world of personal financial planning. With recent tax law changes fully enacted, it's time for an updated version.

Hi Dan - Thanks for the nice review! We're glad you are finding the publication valuable for your course. We have included TCJA updates in the instructor’s materials that can be incorporated into the course for this year and we will be releasing a new edition in 2020.
