It is a natural process that can occur to older coins and I will update the product page to reflect this. Overall Chards is a very reliable bullion dealer. Slight glitch this one time when I delayed my despatch by one day due to being away, but my order then was forgotten about for a few days until I got back in touch with them. Once reminded it was on its way and no further problems. Will continue to use them for my requirements.

I recently bought a silver Britannia from Chards as a present for a friend. The 'information' button on the relevant webpage when clicked informed me of various different bronze/silver/gold levels of gift wrapping, mentioning an associated card with message that would go with it. I think I chose the silver option. I chose 'send to different address'. I was never asked, during the buying process, the name of the recipient it would be going to nor was any message on the alleged accompanying card mentioned. So, finally as I paid, it appears the Britannia would be have my name on the address, instead of the recipients name and it would arrive with no message inside. I think Chards ought to sort their website gift packaging options out as they seem to be broken at the moment.
