AR15 Bolt Catch Installation and Removal Tool from VISM
I have assembled dozens of lowers in my day without any issues. The very first time I tried this tool, it immediately bent and broke the bolt catch retaining pin. Charlie’s Custom Clones does not handle replacement of the item. You have to reach out to the manufacturer for getting it replaced, which I believe is the industry standard so I don’t hold that against CCC. The hassle is not worth the cheap product, so I just threw it away and bought better quality tools. This is a negative review of the VISM product, not CCC.

Thanks for sharing. This is clearly a bugget item. We like the plastic catch bin. Sometimes there is a need to start with a more substantial punch, and then finish with this one.

Obviously great for installs, but purchased primarily for several disassembly jobs. Very heavy duty, doesn't bend, takes DD RIS/etc barrel nuts off with ease. Smooth as butter. Worth every penny.

glad to hear it. That has been our experience, but we have had folks tell us they bent it. I think a little care making sure you (as we call it), close the "C." If you work it the other way, you can open up the wrench if it is too tight.
