For the last two years, we have only sourced the heavier steel model. It is possible that the manufacturer shipped the flimsy aluminum model to our remote warehouse where we ship small parts from. If that occurred, that is an error. I noticed you have email our support team, but we only saw the packaging. If your part is aluminum, you should return to us for a refund

Pretty much the perfect scope. Close-in and out to 20x covers all the shooting I do from 50 yards to 750 yards. The glass is perfect. The reticle is technical but u cluttered. John at CCC knows his scopes. He spent one day on chat with me, then I called him the next week. I was thinking about a Vortex, as they have a good warranty. I made the right decision. You never hear about a Nightforce warranty for a reason.
