Luke: What brand of barrel are you using? Most likely, that is the culprit. These are military issued parts, so they meet all tollerances, but you need to have a barrel that meets tollerances. Colt, FN, LMT, will all meet tollerances. Some commercial barrels are not made to such stringent requirements.

Rigo, this is a custom built upper receiver group. Colt upper, DD rail, special barrel, etc. So, yes, it is custom assembled. Not from other builds "pieced together" but carefully selected to be mil-spec. We also sell the commercial variant from DD, if you like the DD name on the receiver. What you have is a military grade Colt CAGE code upper. Tell us what would make it 5-stars.
