I had a pretty difficult time getting a very straightforward $50 order to go through. My first order was delayed, then canceled because my billing and shipping addresses are different. The second order for the same items was delayed until I exchanged several emails with the business. Once that was accomplished, the order arrives within a week and a half. In the end I’m happy, but it should not have been this painful and manpower intensive. My bank has both the correct billing address and shipping address that I've been using for 27 years. As I described in an e-mail response to CCC, the only other business I've had these issues with is Euro Optics.

What you may not realize is a transaction can be cancelled or held by either your bank or ours. Your first was declined by our bank as your noted: your billing address was not correct. The second order had a similar error, but our bank held the transaction to resolve the issue. The bank could have declined the transaction. It looks like you were advised of the reasons for both the cancellation and delay. More banks are tightening up clearing for new customers in ecommerce. Having the correct billing address is pretty important. Glad we were able to intervene and help you out.

I did have my order put on hold because I moved and had the wrong address listed with my card company. That slowed things down a little. Shipping is not best in class, but it was fast enough. Too scared to be in business, and THE s****iest customer service. My 1st order, their policy supposedly is that the card must match the shipping address, everyone quit doing this around 2015… Their only reasonable shipping option was USPS, and it was STILL TOO F*****G expensive, compared to everyone else, so I had to have it shipped to my PO Box instead of my physical, even though it’s the same town and zip they took issue. Few days after order I get the email saying I needed send a pic of my ID and credit card, so I did. Foolishly I thought that the order would continue its process but NOPE! I hear nothing so I tried calling for 2 days, no one there to answer the phones. I fire an email stating if I didn’t hear anything I was gonna stop payment with my credit card…about four days later some jackass emails me saying he’s in late on the weekend cleaning up emails. I told him to send my stuff and that they service sucks and they’re too scared to be in business. They’re so worried to verify, they sure weren’t to charge the card, that was done immediately. I’ve been ignoring review requests, but apparently Charlie’s is insisting I review. Charlie’s SUCKS and their s***’s too high. Warn first time buyers of this stupid *** policy before ordering!

Nathan: I took a look at your order history. It looked pretty uneventful. Our cc processor put your order on a 3 day hold as your shipping address did not match what your bank had on file.
The hold was lifted and we shipped the product. You actually did not have to change your address. You also did not have to call. I know that during the Washington state rush, we had a lot of orders, and moved one guy off the phones and over to shipping. But, as you know, a number of small firearm shops do not even have phone support. We have email and online chat if nobody is at the phones.
Sorry you have such a bitter taste about the experience. It looks like you purchase a few parts, and we shipped them. We also offer free shipping for orders over $150. We do have certain parameters to protect our customers against identity theft and credit card fraud, which, btw, is very high for online businesses. Our screening is much more stringent for first time buyers than for repeat buyers. We also have to exercise more caution based upon the military products we sell.
We find a little patience and empathy goes a long way. We are not machines. We are all people. We aim to be the best at what we do, but it looks like we did not hit that sweet spot for you. We are a small shop, and probably our model is not for everyone.
