This was bought for the guest bed in the guest room: living in rural East Anglia - flat as a pancake, and in direct line for uninterrupted wind and weather from Europe, winters can be rather cold, and we don't have the protection of surrounding high buildings.Unfortunately, the inclusion of a rating for pain relief is irrelevant, and I would recommend that the category be removed, as I doubt that it represents the consideration of the majority of people who buy electric blankets. The 3 big pluses are that the blanket heats quickly, compared to those we have previously bought, on the lowest setting, you can sleep on it, again particularly useful for guests who don't share my imperviousness towards the cold, and it is machine washable; some of the other were hand wash, which isn't thorough. The one thing I would advise when machine washing, to put it in the machine on its own, to avoid being bundled up with the other items, which might damage the wiring. My only small criticism would be that, as our mattresses are quite deep, the retains tapes could do with being around 6 inches longer, as there is not enough length to tie them into a quick-release bow, so we have had to knot them, which is going to be awkward when we need to remove it.Otherwise, a good buy, and reasonably priced, but, again, I would recommend losing the 'pain relief' stars, as it will, unfairly, damage the overall rating.

Nowhere near big enough to fit my double bed but I was expecting this after reading other reviews. Luckily Im forever alone and covers enough of the bed to keep me warm.

Love it! Best purchase to buy for winter! Easy to install, only issue I have found is would be better if there was more cable from the blanket to control switch as time you fit the fitted sheet it doesnt leave much play in the cable

Beautifully soft and warm, hardwearing and reliable.I did have to contact customer care for this, but they were swift, easy to deal with and an actual pleasure.Well worth the money :)

looked at previous reviews and all looked good and I wasn't disappointed

Arrived as stated, as described

Really keeps me warm, it has changed my life as my room is very cold.

This is the second throw I have bought, my wife likes it so much I have got one for my mother.

Blanket is great, warm even without the heating element. Warms up rapidly and easily controllable. Great to cuddle down with a book when the heating is off. Ideal for one person, a bit neat for two. Would recommend it if you are looking to reduce your heating bills this winter.

Easy to fit and warms up very quickly. Reasonable price and would recommend to anyone who likes to be warm and cosy in bed.

Blanket is great, nice and toasty

I have had to work away for a few weeks and my wife normally uses my legs to warm her feet. With the electric blanket my wife turns it on 30 minutes before getting into bed and when she gets in it is lovely and warm allowing her to relax and fall off to sleep quickly.
