I'm very happy with my purchase. The chain is silver and the stone is set in sterling silver. I can always change out the chain if I want to. The color of the stone is very true blue. It's not the dark navy blue that I see in so many sapphires. The true blue is my preference, so I'm very happy with the color. The size of the stone is impressive. It looks far more expensive than it is. I'm a petite woman (5'1") and have small hands, and the stone is about the size of the end of my pinky finger. So happy with the necklace that I'm thinking of splurging on the earrings that match.
