At first I had no idea how to use the collar than I watched YouTube videos i would suggest solid k9, traing videos there helpful and so is the training manuel.it is very high quality! I ordered a shock collar from Amazon and it broke before I even used it once. This one is defiantly worth the higher price than others and it's easy to use.My dog ran after someone on the third day of traing and came back but keep traing even when you see results fast or your making a huge misstake!

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G results with this program! We hired a trainer that supported e-collars with our second dachshund (labelled the “most stubborn dog she had ever trained”) and it took our home from chaos to calm. Gluttons for punishment, we took in an aggressive dachshund that challenged us in a way that we weren’t sure we could handle. We were able to keep him and save him from euthanization because of his e-collar. Then this past fall, we took in a fourth wiener dog! She is a bundle of cuteness and spazziness. We are able to take her with us places and share her with others because she pays attention with communication via the e-collar. We are adjusting to a three-collar remote (from the 300 version) but are so thankful to have our dogs trained with your communication tools! We will never have a dog that is not trained with your system! Thank you, Education Collars for improving our relationship and communication with our fur-kids and thank you for your great support and customer service!

This is my second Mini Educator low level remote collar. The unit has truly saved my foster Australian Cattle Dog’s life because without it he would not have been able to stay with me as he makes VERY bad choices- I help him make better choices humanely with my remote. This breed often will redirect on a human if the dog is reprimanded. He responds very well to and respects the collar, and I love the communication I get on a structured walk. I recommend this unit for anyone who wants a better trained dog.

Hi Clarence, thank you for the review! Regarding the use of the higher levels, this is something that you should not be concerned over. The 400 series is a "low to medium" power unit designed for dogs with soft to normal dispositions ...its more gentle than our "low to high" output models like the 800 series. We have 100 levels on all our models for a reason and if your dog isnt responding to the lower levels it just means that he's a bit on the tougher side. I have seen dogs max-out at level 100 on the low to medium power units and not even phase them and the reason we make the low to high power models.
I have seen dogs respond to a level 3 and my dog doesn't respond until a level 35 and I have to go higher in high-distraction situations so it really just depends on your dog. If it makes you feel better, we can exchange your 400 series for the more powerful 800 series and your dog will respond to lower levels ;)

I purchased the the color as a recommendation from a friend. I have alredy recommended it to another friend I like it so much. It has a lot of functions that other ecollars don't have and you can customize the programs to your needs.

These collars are lifesavers! One of my favorite features is the headlights for at night so I can see my pups in the yard. They are pricey but I’ve gotten cheaper ones and the features just aren’t as great and don’t work as well.

Great. My first experience with ecollars and this product is really nice. It is sturdy, easy to use, and so far I am seeing results. I am going slowly and my dog is heeling perfectly for the first time. Im using it in combo with the sprenger collar for good results.

Educator Winged Comfort Adapters
I tried the winged adapters for the first time and am very happy with them! My girl, Piper (GSD), responded so much better with it than the two contact points. I love the design and how it looks like it more hugs her neck than digs the two points straight in. I’ve already praised it to three of my dog owning friends!

We love the collar! It replaced the original one that came with the educator. (Our dog out grew the 1st - I trimmed it to short…) New collar looks great, clips on with ease and we added / combined his perimeter controller with it.
