After our servers were hacked by ransomware we contacted Fast Data Recover and it all started off excellent with good advice (most of which I knew), asking us to pay a modest fee to look at a sample encrypted file. We sent this and they came back telling us that they could do a recovery but needed to gain access to the server so please put it back online (which was EXACTLY the opposite of what they told us previously). They then got vague, wouldn't take phone calls, got stories about just having a new baby born (which may or may not be true but when my children were born, my clients were not impacted as a consequence). Then they went quiet and by this time we had worked out our own recovery process. As they gave a "no success, no fee" guarantee, I asked for the repayment of the initial fee and nothing happened. Frequently messages resulted in promises that "we will look into it and you will get your money back" except it never happened. So in the end I made a complaint to the credit card company under the consumer credit act and they got the money back. Wouldn't touch them again.

God sent. 4 servers got infected and all files have been completely recovered in 48 hours.
A bad start for the year but glad to have our files back.
They kept us informed and although it was during the Xmas holidays, they still managed to do the job for us.

We are not complaining but wish if we could have got all our data back however they informed us from the beginning some files may get corrupted when we got hacked in.

I was very uncertain as every article on the internet said that no one could recover the files. I had no option but to take the chance as they have provided a tax invoice and I looked up their details via an abn search and it appeared to be a legitimate company but I still doubted they could recover the files.

one of our staff has opened the email and all our files on the PC and the server have been infected
