Beef Brisket
It was OK but have a felling that the cut (3-4lbs) was too fatty.

Just to clarify - I wrote "too fatty" comparing it to what I usually get from a butcher. Maybe I am not a BBQ pit master but already prepared brisket few times (slow cooked) and that was exactly the reason I wanted this particular cut. I am well aware what fat can contribute to and believe me I trimmed it etc. A photo would have tell more than a thousand words. This cut was not just my cup of tea, was not bad nor great, only OK - therefore 3 stars, which I believe is fair judgement.
Anyways, thank you for prompt delivery and impeccable customer service !
PS. I really liked the other items (tips, flank, skirt).

Hi - Brisket - by its very nature - has a fair amount of fat. Our customers who smoke brisket - or slow cook it - prefer it that way because the fat contributes to the flavor. If you prefer less fat, I'd recommend either leaner cuts or trimming the fat before cooking. I hope that's helpful. Thanks. - Dan

I usually don’t write reviews, but... here I go. I was in receipt of a package one evening and inside was 20 lbs of well packed frozen ground beef. I neatly stacked all but two pounds in the freezer. The next night I made meat sauce with a pound, half a jar of Rao’s and cauliflower gnocchi.... wow, no leftovers. The chicken came in a timely manner and was still completely frozen when it got to our house. We had our first organic chicken dinner that we purchased through Heartstone Farm and it was delicious. My first purchase from Heartstone Farm included the Steak Salt from Maine Sea Salt Co. and ground beef. I made hamburgers using only the Steak Salt for seasoning, and they were excellent! The Steak Salt is so much easier to use than opening several containers of regular salt, pepper and other seasonings. Open the container, sprinkle it on and you're done. I can't wait to order a steak and give it a try. I'll be using this as a regular staple in my kitchen.
