Hi Eric - Thanks for sharing your honest thoughts with us. I do want to share my perspective on this - and why we moved our shipping to New Jersey. As you know, we used to ship from a small former meat market in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. On the one hand it was convenient (for us). But it also had problems - including that it's not ideal to ship a perishable from northern Maine to customers outside of Maine. Another thing is that shipping and all of its complications started taking more and more of our focus and energy. I felt personally that we would better serve our customers by focussing on what matters - the meat and the farms that produce it. (Anybody can put meat in a box and tape it up and put a shipping label on it.) Since we shifted our fulfillment to New Jersey, our whole team is now focussed on working with our farm partners, and improving our products. As an exampple, we spent a bunch of time this year working with a fishing family in Alaska and we were able to add Wild Alaskan Salmon as a customer offfering. You also mentioned how fresh the meat is - and I can ssure you that's important to us as well. Shipping from New Jersey has no impact on freshness. The freezers in NJ are just as cold, if not colder, than our old ones in Maine. I hope you don't mind my long-winded response.
