I researched for quite some me time before I made a decision to buy my meats from Heartstone Farm. I wanted to make sure my choice was the best one for my family and my beloved dog who eats organ meat in her diet. I decided to place an order for organ meat, hamburger patties and chicken. My concern was whether or not I had made a good decision regarding the quality of the meat and whether or not the meats were kept frozen. I got the order very quickly. I opened the box and sure enough all the meat was frozen solid. Their meat was sealed beautifully and the ice kept everything the way that I was hoping. I cooked the hamburgers and truthfully my husband and I love the flavor of the meat. I then cooked the beef heart for my pooch and while it was cooking she kept putting her nose in the air. After letting it slow cook I removed it and sliced it and Maddie(!my dog) was in heaven as she happily devoured it in her mix of meat. Beef heart, kale, butternut and brown rice. After she was done she wanted more. It is a very healthy addition to her diet. I ordered the beef liver also. I forgot to add that. The whole chicken will be cooked tomorrow and I am sure that it will be delicious as well. I know that Maddie will be having a chicken dinner also.😊 I will write a comment on the chicken after I try it. I am glad that I ordered a few packages of hamburgers because they are that good. Having been stung by door to door meat packers and other mail order suppliers I was initially hesitant. My first order included a roast, filet mignon and 5 lbs of ground beef. We started with grilling up the medallions of filet mignon. It was superb, delicious and tender. Tonight we grilled up cheeseburgers. When Farmer Dan sez this tastes like the beef we had as kids, he isn’t kidding. Despite having been frozen, these burgers tasted fresh and amazing. So juicy I probably should shower. The whole order arrived frozen solid at my front step in a environmentally responsible package (everything recycles, nothing for the landfill). As good as the filets were last Sunday, tonight’s ground beef made for a delicious taste of summer on a cold March night. Sunday we will attack the roast. My Wife has her Grandma’s “Beef Roast” recipe and we anticipate an epic meal. I still have a few pounds of ground beef in the freezer but I will be placing another order very soon. If you are on the fence about ordering I can recommend without hesitation you should go ahead. This is the real deal.

The meat and the chicken were the best! much more flavor, less fat and the overall value was so much better.
