3/5 stars for the functionality - it worked great on *some* of my library, so it saved me a few hours so it was worth the cost.

I give it another 1/5 stars for the support. I think the support is fantastic in helping triage the issues I've seen.

Unfortunately, I don't know if I would recommend. The price is steep to only get "some amount of updates". With the bugs I've hit and the back and forth we've had, plus still having to manually tag a large chunk of my files - I would expect to at least have lifetime access with my purchase to be honest.

All that said, great work on SongKong and I wish the best for the developer.

Great program

Real life saver for running multiple albums at once for tagging at it. I'm a DJ and it found many of my obscure overseas CDs I purchased back in the 90s when I worked the club scene. Recommended to anybody who has massive collections and needs quick accurate tagging to be done

Great additional information and better covers for my iTunes[Music]Library. Despite having checked that everything in a folder belongs to an album, Songkong destroyed about 15% of my compliations. I might missed something in the preferences, but thanks to my TimeMachineBackup everything could be recovered.
SongKong seperates my Studio Master and my CD tracks - great!

I bought SongKong to correct certain tags that the CD ripping software incorrectly added automatically. Basically just two tags, genre and year. Unfortunately, either SongKong gets it wrong or I don't know how to use it properly. Many CD rips with those tags filled up become empty after SongKong does its thing. No idea why. If SongKong cannot find the correct data for those meta tags, I had hoped SongKong would leave it alone and not delete it. That's why only 3 stars.

Superb piece of software very quick and accurate tagging

I'm a subscriber to Plex. Use it only for the music side of the app. I have an extensive library collection. I'm kind of a perfectionist when it comes to my music. It has to be right. The Plex app is very difficult to get right. I'm talking about how you have your music catalogued. So I am strongly recommending that you buy two products from Jthink.net; Jailoz and SongKong. I've tried using other metadata tagging programs but no one does it better. It took a bit of time to figure all these things out. But you can do it. I use Album Art Downloader to capture an album image, run it through Jailoz then SongKong before uploading to Plex. It all works. That's my advice.

Finally, i had first time a clean music library - with SonKong! Thank you...

Mixed feelings about SongKong. It is a luxury product oriented towards maniacs of order, at least in what their music database refers. Those who aren't, it is supposed that can live with less tagging, or no tagging at all. The software does it's job almost perfectly, specially on files that are VERY poorly tagged. On those already tagged "at taste" (classical music and so), is tricky to add just the tags you would like. It is very easy to replace everything in your file, what you need and what you don't... Overall i have to say that it helps a lot, but.. for almost 50€, i would have expected some combination between SongKong and Jaikoz, with a little bit more flexibility... One product's strenght is the other's limitation, but thinking about paying 80 GBP for having both is not an option, sorry.

UPDATE: One week later, have to say that the experience improved. Still, i can't consider it THE software that "makes it all", i still need some workarounds after SongKong does it's magic to update some info, even from Musikbrainz or Discogs, wich are supposed to be the main source of tagging for SongKong.

I was looking for some way to update the meta data of my extensive MP3 collection. I found this to work well to accomplish this task and was reasonably priced.

Ok on most well known albums, but its a disaster on various artists and alternative artists. Need a better preview and validate IHM
