i was very suprized at the power this little motor has,,it pulls,my 240 l,b,s, like
nothing,,simple to instal,,i was riding around in no time,,,and haven;t had the battery
run down on me,,and i go about ten miles away,,then head back,,,lots of power,,i love it,,john koola,,,

I'm 67 and haven't ridden in quite a few years do to knee problems. E-bikes caught my attention but I wanted exercise and not just transportation. I'm the type of guy who researches a topic to death and my journey ended with the Leeds product. Bought a new DiamondBack Trace Sport Hybrid Bike just for this project. Popped on the kit in less than 15 minutes and the shocker was that absolutely everything worked as expected. I live in a relatively hilly area which kept me very close to home until I tried this kit. Obviously there are larger kits available but none as unobtrusive and I like that it 'helps' me when I need it and doesn't remove the exercise factor. Works exactly as promised and I couldn't be happier with the product or service provided.

Put this one on a BCA mountain bike I have had for years. I'm mostly on dirt and gravel rail trails. Works great. My other one is on a K2 bike that is for street and trail. I'll be purchasing a third for a Roadmaster Luxury liner which is a one speed "tank" with ballon tires. Well worth the money, great product.

I just got..my new kit,, was very simple,to install
on my bike,,every thing,,fit,,like a glove,,i was worried
that the little hub,,motor,,wouldn't pull me,,i'm 245l.b.s.
but to my suprize it took right off,,just likr my Harley....
I have been running it for the last few days,,and love it,,,

This product works very well on my mountain bike to assist me when necessary to climb the many hills on Samal Island, Davao Del Sur, Mindanao Philippines where I live. This means that I can still enjoy my biking even though I have just passed 65 years of age and I still get the health benefits since I only use the motor when I really need to.

Electric bikes are very rare here and my one now draws a crowd of inquisitive local people whenever I stop :-)

I purchased from Leeds Ebike unlace kit -20 ml. It is awesome. I had The BikeShoppe from Utah lace the motorHub to my wheel connected and went out for a long ride, it is great. Is simple to connect follow the iinstructions! Thank you Leeds. is very Fun again to ride my Bike again.

I can't believe how awesome technology is now days. Really only took about 15 minutes to install. Great way to get back into biking

I'm a passionate bike rider for local transportation in Boston, but live on top of a steep hill. This has been a little intimidating when considering a bike, rather than car, errand. However, this kit (which was very easy to install) is exactly the right answer. Without using the motor, the bike looks and operates like a bike. The extra wight of the motor and battery are hardly noticeable in most circumstances. But when I need that boost up the hill, or when carrying a lot of cargo, that boost is just right. I still have to pedal, but don't have to kill myself. Thanks.

Leeds has great customer service.. I installed it on my road bike. There are hills in my neighborhood that I always avoided until now. Love it! Thank you Leeds for making it easy!

Received the conversion kit within 5 days of ordering. I had to use the rear wheel kit because of specific applications for my bike, and that added a little extra work (remove the rear derail-er before mounting tire rim for clearance issues). Went together very easily and has worked as stated. I have been keeping track of miles ran on a freshly charged battery and have reached the 40 mile figure that it is rated for. I use the "assist" anytime going up hills and to build momentum on the flats (running the motor maybe 60% of the time. Enjoy it very much and will possibly get another in the near future.

I bought this hub to install on a mountain bike. It laced up great with the Leeds spoke kit to an alex dm18 rim. We have been using it regularly for over a month with no problems. I'm sure it will exceed the 2-year warranty period just fine.

Leeds is the only place I have found offering the 8fun rear option sensorless. Meaning it has no Hall sensors inside which can fail and just add complexity. It requires a sensorless controller which is what Leeds sells and the system is excellent all around, smooth, simple, reliable.

I also like the Leeds connector which seems failsafe. A big barrel connector with a screw-on cap. Other hub motors have small plugs or tiny crimped wires that can come loose and cause erratic operation. The Leeds plug is bullet proof.

The Leeds parts are compatible with my old Hilltopper but I have found Leeds a much better company, having many more options, much faster shipping, and more detailed information on the site. Also if you contact Leeds you get an honest, knowledgeable person who actually helps you out. "The competition" just blows smoke and fluff and I am sticking with Leeds from now on.

The only issue I see is the picture in the ad shows a front hub with no freewheel threads. I emailed tech support before buying and they answered my question right away but it might be easier for others if the picture is updated. Otherwise 5 stars and I hope Leeds keeps this rear 8fun option available for a long time as I will probably be building more.

IT HAS CHANGED OUR LIVES. WE CAN GO RIDE OUR BIKES AND ALWAYS KNOW WE CAN GET BACK.! JUST THE ASSURANCE OF THAT IS A BLESSING. I LOVE THE HELP ON THE HILLS ON THE TRAILS! WE HAVE ENJOYED THESE UNITS FOR A LITTLE OVER A MONTH! WE CAN'T WAIT TO RIDE EVERY CHANCE WE GET NOW!

I had a heart attack in 2002. Since then I have been short of wind and with occasional angina, especially when going up grade or against the wind which is plentiful here on the shores of Lake Huron . The e-bike motor takes all the work out of those problems. I use it to spell my pedaling and give me brief rests.
I can't believe the power that it has.

I've had my kit for less than a week and already have 60+ miles on my bike. Normally I would ride 5-8 miles per week. Absolutely LOVE it! I still get a great workout pedaling along with the motor.

Great service and support and the install was less than 10 minutes only cause I had to mount my tire and tube on the wheel. Several friends have rode it and all want one now.
