After weeks of research and talking with several e-bikers, I decided to go with the 250 E-Bikerig-Kit. I considered an Ezee Bike and a couple other types of E-bikes. I settled for a kit because of my investment and comfort with my Townie that I have had for several years. Initially I had some difficulty with some damage to the battery or battery connections. The staff at e-bikerig immediately sent a replacement that arrived in three days - great customer service!!
As they have advertised, this kit is very simple and easy to install. Being a fussy person I took my time (about 1 hour) installing all the components. [I could easily have completed this installation in a much shorter time however. Once assembled and my first test run everything went as advertised - couldn't have been more pleased.
One thing that I did not realize is that when you engage the electric motor it is all or nothing. (I test drove some e-bikes that had accelerator type controls, that is, you could control the speed to the bike.) Maybe I will get use to the push button that this kit comes with but now I would have preferred an option such as an "on-off" toggle switch which in my case would be more convenient. I suspect that I will be looking for such a switch. Understand that this is in no way a "deal breaker".
I would highly recommend this kit to anyone who has a good bike that they don't want to part with.

I am 70 years old now and have been riding my recumbent bike for over 11 years. I like to ride long distances but have been reluctant to go far because of recurring knee problems. Now with the help Of the long range power assist system I can continue to ride and know that I will be able to get back to my starting point. Thank you Leeds for the good product. Don

I call this my helper. At almost 70 one needs all the help you can get. It gets me out of the house and all around town. Also get a workout as on hills you need to help the motor which is good for both of us. I۪m about 250 lbs so I۪m no little guy. My longest ride so far is 19.5 miles. Very happy with this product. I۪ll get better the more I ride.

It feels good when you know that you have spent you money well.This kit is AWESOME.I suffer from a medical condition and have been a shut-in because I dont have the energy to pedal for very long(at all).This kit has changed my life. I have not found the bottom of this amazing battery or exhausted the range.The only problem to pop up is the fact that I now need better brakes! My life is easier now.Great,simple product.Thank you guys!

Works great. I'm almost 69 and now have a reason to get out of the house. As we age we need to keep moving. At least that is what my doctor tells me. What better way than to do what we used to do in our youth. Some who see my bike don't know what it is until you push the button and show them what it does. Some call it cheating. I say they don't now what they are talking about. This is my "PA" (pumping assistant). Although you have power while climbing up hills you still need to pump which is good as after all this is excersize but is really like having someone helping you with the hill you are confronting. The reward is going down the hill and getting out of the house and moving which automatically stretches things and beneficial for your health and mobility. This is a great product. At my age and the problems that I have with my knees as well as other issues, I need the help. Thank you for this wonderful product.

This kit is so simple to install. I've been searching for years for a e-bike kit and this one from Leeds does what I need. Well worth the money. ThankThank you

I've had my Leeds kit since October 2014 and recently the motor would just cut out on me after riding for only a few miles on a full charge. It's rate for 40 miles and it did this twice. I emailed Leeds about the problem and after some back and forth communications they requested I send the battery back to them. They found the problem was with the controller and replaced it and sent the battery back to me. Overall, I am very satisfied with their customer service and would definitely recommend an ebike kit from Leeds. Good customer service is often overlooked or an after thought but not at Leeds.

Hey just like to say you guys are awesome I ride my bike everyday to work and the hill I used to have to walk up with my bike I can now pedal easy enough and make it up no problem now..its pure awesome thanks again..

I am a 59 year old female. I am also disabled. I have been getting around on my 3 wheel Schwinn Meridian bike. I have limited ability to peddle my bike. My neighbor suggested that I look into getting an electric motor system for my bike to give me more and easier mobility. He suggested yours. I bought it and he installed it for me. I LOVE IT. Know I can go much further on the bike and don't worry about not getting back home. Thank you for designing this great E-Bike system.

system is easy to put on bike. All has worked as promised. Wife uses it as backup when comuting to work and the one or two dogs she outdistances !

I really glad I made this decision to perchase the rig and from Leeds.
I live in an area where I can shop and run my errands on my bike. I eliminated all the cost of a vehicle.

I was looking for something that would help me up some of the steeper hills around here (Southern B.C.) and allow me to do some of the loops that quite frankly would be too much for me without a bit of help: 30 km and more. I'm 71 and have heart disease. I bought one of the smallest batteries because I didn't want to be tempted to rely too much on the motor. This is just right. It adds a minimum amount of weight to my commuter bike and helps me up the steepest hills just as I had hoped. I have done several 20 km + rides with it and using it only for occasional assist I haven't even come close to discharging the battery. Longest re-charge time so far under 2 hours. The new wheel fit right out of the box and installation was a breeze.

I have been searching and researching for a E-Bike kit for several years. When I come across the Leed kit I was so impressed. Watching the videos and reading the reviews is what convinced me to get one. I was amazed how fast and easy it is to convert your bicycle over. I've ridden my bike today and had a blast. I can still get my cardieo, them I can cruise for the rest of my ride. I really enjoy my Leeds kit. Thank you.

We installed this on our 1970 Schwann tandem bike that weighs 65 pounds. It's a snap to install. The install truly did only take about 15 minutes mostly because we used our old tire. I was concerned at first because of the combined weight of us and the bike May of been too much for the motor. The weight was no problem for this kit we go right up the hills we pedal up but with very little effort we go right up. This is a quality well made kit and gives you the feeling it will last a long time. The Leeds company is Great to do business with and bent over backwards to serve us! Thanks so much!

Opening my package from "e-bikerig", the quality of all the items was superb. After modification to the bike fork to allow for clearance of motor hub, assembly was fast and simple. wiring harness was plenty long to allow for choice placement of battery pack, I installed mine on rack behind the seat. Excess harness wire was folded in six inch length and place in a slit piece of tubing and ty wrapped to frame, all other wire was laced to bike frame and this made for a neat installation. Riding now is a real pleasure. F Moxley

I matched the e-wheel to an old Klein mountain bike for use around the city. It does a great job and performs very well.

i have 2 electric street bikes that were $2500 each. This set up cost $833, offers the same power to the hub but my range is doubled. Very enjoyable assist and even though the assist is engaged by pushing the button, it becomes second nature and as easy as my cadence engages assist on my more expensive bikes. I was apprehensive about the purchase but it was money well spent.
