I think it was great!!

I hope I don't jynx myself by writing this review too soon! I bought one of these last Thursday evening and in less that a week it was in my driveway. That in itself is freaking awesome. I didn't realize that this website has all the installation instructions and the manual, but luckily I simply googled it and found a helpful video very quickly. I put it together in about 30 minutes and was too anxious to ride it to charge the battery fully! It was at 78% from the factory, which was way more charge than I was expecting. I rode about 20 miles until the battery was down to about 23% and let me tell you - this thing is the BEE'S KNEES!!! I felt incredibly comfortable on it and I am 6'2" and 220lbs. It was very easy to maneuver and I clipped a certain wire, so I got her up to 52mph!! I was too excited to care about getting pulled over, so I was going on the main roads and in some instances I was actually having to wait on cars in front of me!! Like I said I hope this doesn't jynx me, but so far I am incredibly impressed. Everything from the ordering to the customer service to the fast delivery to the awesome bike itself, this is one of the best purchases I have ever made.

Luna Cycle is number one. It's not just the best customer service in the nicest people I've dealt with to get this beautiful 2024 version of the MX3 to my door. This is my fifth ebike (my first emoto) this is the best one I have ever had. I'm so absolutely in love with it. About the upgraded Black Luna pedals, the thick fatty Luna riser handlebars and the Shinko 241 tires. The Red graphics are nice and I'm going to go out today and I don't care if it's 40° because I cannot stop myself from having this much fun. My wife and my daughter have ebikes and the explore all over the Grand Canyon area in the world's largest Ponderosa Pine Grove with single tracks from 5,000 to 9,000 ft. We have trout stocked lakes within a few miles of us at 7,000 ft with bald eagles just down the road. MX3 from Luna cycle makes my life complete administering everything I need beyond a Jeep where I can explore more and more with all the history here The hidden route 66 route and it keeps going. We live right next to an 1800s dam called Santa Fe dam 200 yards away with bald eagles and osprey. Thank you Luna cycle we love you

I wanted a 21 inch front wheel and a wider, beefier back tire for off road riding. This set is way more economical than others out there. I was worried it would not fit in the Bomber 58 front fork I have, but it does. The back wheel also fits well and has clearance from the chain. I did take off one star because my front brake caliper has a paper-thin gap between it and the spokes, even with the larger rotor & extender. I don't know how to get any extra clearance there and it makes me nervous.I am still working on a solution. I do love the tires and wheels. Looks amazing. Seems to handle bumps much better. They do seem heavier than the stock but with the bigger battery, controller and sprocket, it's a non-issue.

Bought these for my XXX. Not only raised couple inches but also has a slight sweep backward. Cheap, sturdy, and comfortable. Very happy

Great bike

While I live in New Zealand , the crewe at Luna Cycle was very helpful in organising reasonable freight for the 18/21 wheel set for my Talaria Sting R. These wheels arrived very well packed and not too long after I ordered them. I put them on my new bike before my first ride and they certainly make the Sting R ride better, good traction and improved confidence over the rough stuff! Ideally I would have liked to get the blue hub version but the black wheel set looks good on the bike in any case. Thanks Luna Cycles!

Awesome!

Ordered mine on 1/26 received on 2/6 this bike is the perfect street ride. Handles like it's 2 steps ahead all the time. Perfect commuter and plenty power to wheelie up. Range is outstanding will be ordering from luna for the type r for off road build, excellent service thanks luna

I will say I took a risk by buying this bike vs. a Segway but after owning it for about 6 months, I love this bike! It is beyond fun to drive and with street tires really nimble and turns quickly. I recently upgraded to the off road tires and really like how it sits higher and drives more like a dirt bike. Very versatile and if you happen to clip a certain wire, this bike becomes screaming fast. All around it was a great decision buying it and I'm looking to pick up another Talaria soon.

hi great item stop power

This is a great bike. I also have a Sting R Mx4, and I would suggest spending a little more on the Sting R if you can afford it. Especially for off road!

Pros: First off, this bike has TORQUE!!! I was already having a BLAST in November of 2023 when I got it. This thing has good torque on the low end, it has enough to pick up the front wheel from 0 MPH. It also has a good top-end unrestricted (do at your own discretion) at 52-53 MPH. I have had the bike now for a few months, and it has gotten me from point A to B and more. I get people asking about it, and looking at me all the time (in a good way) because this bike has a AWESOME presence in public. The brakes are pretty solid and will let you stop decently. The seat is comfy enough to do semi-long rides. The suspension is soft enough to eliminate most small to medium bumps. The throttle control is EPIC!!! You can modulate the throttle REALLY well, and there is not much of a dead zone at the beginning of the throttle.

Cons: My front rim ended up being noticeably bent due to shipping, or factory defect. Luna was kind enough to send me a brand new front rim with a tire installed FREE of charge. Additionally, the aftermarket for this bike so far is not the greatest. Chi battery and some other companies came out with 72 and 74 volt batteries, but the bike does not support something like a BAC 4000, or BAC 8000 speed controller. Even with the speed upgrades available for this bike at the moment, you probably aren't able to reach 70-80 MPH and have as much torque as a fully modified Surron Light Bee X or Ultra Bee. All that aside, the bike is quick enough for most people.

Conclusion: If you are thinking about getting this bike, go for it. It is a GREAT bike to ride and will take you MANY miles if you take the right care of it. It's quick, snappy, and of decent build quality. Luna's customer service was pretty good overall, would buy another bike from them if they carried something like the Surron Ultra Bee.

Its the wish that keeps on giving. Amazes everyone who powder burns. I dream of my next ride and adventure. I trip out while riding. Its so quiet. I can creep up, and zip out, and nobody knew i was even there. I just wish it had came out earlier like in 1988?

Fixed that annoying brake squeal

Make sure you’re not using these as the tensioning side, they will snap with too much torque.

Sleeper Build Certified

Did the trick on my bike when the bike starter to stutter.

My red XXX arrived eight days after purchase on Black Friday, The outer box was pristine and the parts inside were well packed and tied down. This was my first time assembling an electric dirt bike but after watching the Luna assembly video several times in advance everything went pretty smoothly even doing this by myself.

The XXX rides fantastic, very stable, lots of torque, plenty of acceleration climbing hills, strong braking (and no squeals!), regen braking settings, and really a blast to ride.I had been thinking of buying the XXX or MX4 for many months. The Red Edition was the clincher for me. The red color is luminous and just makes the XXX “pop”. Even the hubs, stem nipples, and handlebar are red.

The XXX is a bit smaller than I had anticipated, especially when compared to my e-bike with 26x4 tires.. Not a problem for me (5’7”) but it’s definitely not a burly or towering look.

Before the purchase I sent a few emails to Luna with questions. Got responses within 24 hours always answering my questions. The Luna youtube videos have been invaluable in understanding the XXX settings and getting everything right so far.

The Talaria appears to be very well designed and manufactured without corner-cutting or cheapo parts. Welds look great, bike looks great, performance is wonderful. I smile when riding!

No dents yet!
