I take the bike down to the grocery store and have saved a bunch on gas. Riding it puts a big smile on my face and the people in my neighborhood.

Super solid bike, came with wire uncut and 90% assembled, just needed 1 peg, front fender, and front wheel installed. Very fun and very powerful motor. Preordered 10-6, got the bike 10-26 :)

Luna gave me “bafang” b4 then I spent $6000 on useless “ego” Ebike kit Austria 🇦🇹 & mr Michael Backus is nice guy.. very helpful.. but MidDrive needs refining:/.. so I bow 🙇 to “LUNA” they r the most raving about bafang HD.. & it is all the rage😍🤑🤑🤑🤑

My quick background: I grew up on bicycles. I went from BMX as a kid to mountain bikes as a teenager and well into my 30's. I consider myself an above average all-mountain biker, with average DH abilities. At 40, I started looking into some electric-bikes to give myself a little break from pedaling up and down those hills. In my search for an electric assist mountain bike, I happened across some YouTube videos of the Surron. It looked like nonstop fun! I grew up with friends who did the motocross thing, but I stuck to the human powered two-wheeled bikes. The amount of power those dirt bikes have made me a little nervous. Back to the surron... I honestly thought I was purchasing a pedal-less mountain bike. It had all the same components as my DH bike, and a lot of people even run the same DH fork (Boxxer) I have on my DH. This thing is NOT a mountain bike. It is a hybrid dirt/pit bike, and it is nonstop fun. Looking back to my buddies riding motocross, I no longer think it was the power that kept me off those things. It was the noise. I know, I know, lame/weak excuse. But it's true. Something about the noise that turned me off. I love nature, I love the sounds (lack there of) of nature, I love that I can still think while pedaling down a single track or bombing a hill without the distraction of a noisy gas powered bike. The surron is exactly the powered bike I need to still enjoy a single-track without sweating my old @ss off. This thing is powerful enough for the experts (upgradeable if you want more), but tame enough to allow the beginner like me to hop on and have a blast. I don't like that the price has snuck up over the last year, but even at $4k, this thing is great to get you into the hobby. I hope that as the world opens back up (FU covid), that components become more attainable and maybe even more affordable. I encourage anyone that like single track or enjoys dirt bikes to give this thing a try. You won't be disappointed. And if you are, resale value holds well for like new bikes, lol.

I grew up riding a gas bike and wasn't sure if I would be satisfied with the new technology. after a few months with my sur ron I can definitely say I was not disappointed. I am having a blast with this bike. I can go everywhere with this thing. bike trails and fire roads that were off limits for my gas bike are now open game. I can even go out at night and not disturb the neighbors. I'm looking forward to buying a second one for friends to ride with me. thank you Luna cycle.

Changing up the gearing to this sprocket is perfect for me as I ride almost 100% off-road and it’s given that extra bit of low end to get up some of the steeper hill climbs that I was struggling with on the stock sprocket. Top end on road is a mph or 2 slower than the stock sprocket.

This seat is much softer then stock. Sits a little higher.

Happy with the peg extender. It went on well and feels good. the only problem was that the kickstand didn’t work too well. I ended up bending the kickstand to get enough lean to the bike so it wouldn’t fall over

Happy with the new 52 tooth sprocket. It went on well, only concern is that the added chain section may be one link to long. Once installed it is pretty much at the full extent of the adjustment for the chain.

Good Twist throttle resistance, similar to my dirt bike.
