Quality equipment at very competitive prices. The lack of motor models available is somewhat limited I guess due to world wide demand and production problems. Questions that one may have are answered in a timely manner which is rare these days. Pkg. and shipment are very good as I have always been quite satisfied. Would not consider another source to save a couple bucks. OH! and the chainrings they make are works of art. Thanks Alan

This bike is an absolute tanker from the factory. Super reliable, low maintenance, and just as fast as just about any pitbike you can find yourself out with on the trails!

Awesome grips, they look and feel great

Luna cycle has always been on time with their parts and the prices have always been good no complaints from me

I was really nervous about floating five thousand dollars out with a company I had never done business with before, but I did my homework and read tons of reviews and couldn’t be more happy with my decision to order from Luna. I received my FedEx freight delivery ten days after the order was submitted which was pretty quick for a 150lb bike with FREE shipping. Their price was also cheaper than any other dealer in the U.S., and I live on the opposite side of the nation. Would not hesitate to order from again.

I’m really happy with the quality of this seat. The finish is top notch, and it fits in the factory space with zero modification and its increased padding really contours with the increase lift with the battery cover and aftermarket battery. Oh yeah, it’s REALLY comfortable too! Much more padding than the stock seat. A+

The most amazing pev I own. This thing is a blast and super sturdy. Luna cycles was quick with delivery and response. Will buy from them again!!!!

Luna is my go to place for sur-Ron and ebike parts. Luna simply the best!

Just ordered the bike and I can’t wait it’s everything you could want and more

I ordered a Surron X from Luna Cycles last month. They shipped it to me faster than expected. I had a couple bolts missing due to shipping box being damaged, but the staff at Luna made it right as soon as I contacted them about it. I ordered the seat extender kit and again, came faster than expected and the kit was of high quality. Will definitely do business with Luna going forward and highly recommend them to my friends and family!

Works, but it's limited in what it can do and needed some mods
Hello, I've been building home-brew electric bikes for the last couple decades and this is my 7th build.

For this build I used a full suspension bike: Polygon Siskiu T7
battery: EGO Power Plus 14s 12ah (56volt)
Terrafirma battery adapter
rack: Aeroe Spider + Voile straps to hold my battery

The build was pretty straight-forward, just pop your bottom bracket off, toss this motor in and route the wires. I didn't buy the optional spacer kit but ended up needing it. Fortunately I had an electric "bike shop" around the corner that sold the exact spacers I needed (Ace Hardware).

I chose the 30 tooth option and find myself regretting the "hotrod" programming option because my riding style ended up being mostly power 0 and power 1 250 watt. On the rare, super-duper grindy hills it was nice to kick it over to power 2 500 watts but this will overpower any hill in granny gear, never needing power 3. Hotrod programing disables your ability to limit power levels so an accidental click over to power 3 it wants to fling you off the uphill switchbacks so I would have rather had Bafang's stock 750 watt limit with either 5 or 9 increment settings going up to 750w max.

Another mod I did was to drill small holes for mini-bungee hooks into the cooling fins to help pull the nose of the motor up. This is because of my biggest gripe about the motor, motor strikes. If you strike a rock hard enough it knocks the motor back and buzzes the wires against your rear tire. For hard singletrack I found myself really having to be picky with my lines, the black diamondy kind of stuff where you might have pedal-strike ends up also being a motor-strike situation, the most egregious are the rock steps where you wheelie up a rock but end up high-centered; major bummer. I've knocked out a number of particularly gnarly trails with this kit but the dangler down there is a particularly bad handicap.

Despite using throttles on my last 6 builds I ended up not liking the throttle on this setup ultimately doing away with it entirely. The throttle is just too jerky and adding a bit of power to your pedal strokes with an up/down button worked much better for me.

I was relieved to see that the bike shifts fine under power level 1 (250w) and ended up not needing the gear sensor.

I tried the EGO 5ah battery. I found that I hit about 15-20 miles of semi-spunky trail use before it goes flat. Being that I tend to go on 20-ish mile rides this gave me battery anxiety and I opted to sacrifice weight for more overhead and haven't regretted the 5 to 12ah switch.

All in all I do not recommend this motor. Black diamond single-track riders will find the motor hangs too low/vulnerable. Double-track, gravelbike, and commuter riders will find that hub motors are better/more reliable and don't add wear to your chainline. I think this motor works fantastic on blue square upper-intermediate trails that don't have chonker rocks, fantastic for any situation where you need a granny gear to tackle some serious incline but not the right motor for most people.

Hi Surron!!! Bye bye Super 73…

Luna Cycle up!!! 👌🏽

The bike is great it runs great and is supper fun and exciting. Hits jumps like nothing and pops wheelies like nothing , if you are reading reviews to see if you should get it do it it is so worth it. The reason I give it a 3 star is not about how the bike itself works it is about the condition it may come in, for example when we got my bike every thing worked fine but there was a crack in my speedometer and scratches by the side of the peg. Also parts for the bike can quickly add up. Hopefully this review makes your decision.

Very good all around

Great customer service. Fast shipping across USA. Will definitely do more business with them. Can't go wrong with the surron. My whole family can and has enjoyed it so far. So much fun.
