Well-built, very good-looking on the bike. Straightforward to install if you turn the bike upside down. Seems very durable, but one tip: get the stainless steel one! Bash guards take a lot of abuse, and the stainless should keep relatively clean.

Great kit with excellent help picking the right parts for a first e-bike conversion build. BBSHD has such great power to climb the hills I normally ride. I highly recommend the shift sensor to really make the shifts smooth and quiet. I'm still surprised how quiet this kit is compared to a budget e-bike my wife has.

After receiving the bike , I immediately assembled it and gave it a tune up myself , didn’t need much . Very easy to put together. I took it to my local trails here in Florida and was amazed at how it rode and handled. the battery life after 12 miles of green , blue and black diamond trails only dropped about 10% . For a $4000 Emtb it’s the best price and value on the market .

Just back from my 2nd long ride. Awesum. Point and shoot any hill is now childs play. Silent Treatment is a must, and Ludi is there when I need it. Double check all bolts and torque values and they where loctited and spot on. Easy to assemble. Great to ride. Smoked my 16 year old son on his new StumperJumper. THX LUNA

First off, I must say, the looks of this Leather seat is head-n-shoulders above the stock one. Installation was not too bad. One rear Philips head screw was hard to reach, but the rest of the install was a breeze. I replaced the plastic push pin tabs (6) with regular screws to hold the needed plastic underliner in. I love the finish and the comfort of this seat. Luna really went out of their way to construct a much needed Surron upgraded seat. Thumbs up!

I have about 60 miles on this, in one month. I bought a stand, Venzo torque wrench, etc. to work on it. I spent a few hours the night I got it, adjusting things and becming familiar with it. I'm only using biodegradable products on it. It came with every bolt tight as far as I know so far. I had to tighten the stem. It seems that they get the feedback and make improvements each year. There is Loctite applied, such as on the seat mount. I replaced the seat with the Ergon SM E-Mountain Core Prime.
It seems to be at least 3 lbs lighter than expected (~52 lbs). I got the large and I'm 6 feet; it's certainly not too big. It seems just right. I had to increase the rear shock from 140 to 170 psi and I am about 190 lbs with my pack.
My old bike is a 20 year old Trek 4300 which I did not use much any more at nearly 60 years old. This bike is life-changing. I feel like I've entered a 3rd phase of my life (kid, adult, X1?; not sure how to explain this). I can now just ride up the coyote trails, etc. from my home. It can go anywhere that I can ride it. I got standard power, silent, bigger display. It's not silent, but it's fine, and I am picky about sound. I got the v14.6 SW and it works great; maybe 1 s delay from starting to pedal, and all 5 levels are as expected; no need for 9. I can do everything that I wanted to do on my old bikes, but it was not safe to do before. Going down a dirt road on bumps, it's easy to get air, etc.
I got a helmet for the first time, knee pads, and an EVOC pack. This bike was huge money for me, but essential for my health.
The weak point seems to be the brakes, but I only read about bedding in brakes after it was too late. I think that they are getting better now.
The battery gracefully cuts down the power below 30%, which is great; it does not suddenly die. I charged to 100% the first time to balance the cells. I can use the indicators on the battery to charge to ~80% and add charge when there is one green dot left, depending on my next ride, just like my cars. You want to keep your average charge over time, near 50%. My first ride was 5 miles, which is amazing. I was pretty out of shape, but much better now. I go up a pretty steep hill for at least 1.5 miles and more and get to mountain lion territory. This is my first FS bike and I highly recommend it.
I reduced the tire pressures to 25 psi front, 30 in back.

Awesome product, did exactly what I needed it to do. Which was tighten the lock-rings securing my BBSHD to the bottom bracket at the correct torque!
Previously I had attempted to tighten it using a cheap tool with a single tooth, and also a hammer and (blunt) chisel! Neither method worked for long and it kept coming loose.
My only problem is I live in the UK and the postage was as much as the products! But I had failed to find anything available anywhere else.
The order arrived only a few days later, so very fast service! And included free stickers!
Motor is now nice and secure, thank you!
(And if anyone living near West London needs a hand tightening up theirs, give me a shout! 😉)
