As usual excellent service

Works as advertised. Great!
Only wish there was a high quality barrel connector available.

Great Service

Great quality sprockets

All the parts fit really well and fit snug. Not that much louder too.

Great price and fast shipping!!! I’m 220 and it rides great!

Works great for the bac4000

Great performance so far and had a good time building two bikes at the same time! My wife and I are looking forward to some trails after the snow melts here in Colorado.

Very good. Easy to install and easy read. I like how it shows your speed both digitally and analog plus the it displays the amount current amps or the current watts up to 1,500 watts (that's over 2 horsepower! ).
There are two minor issues.
The % of charge is only correct with a 48-volt battery. So if you have a 52-volt battery you need to set the display for voltage and convert it to state of charge yourself.
The other niggle is that while it does keep track of time ridden, it resets itself when the display turns off (which it does automatically after 5 minutes of inactivity) So, if you stop mid-ride for more than 5 minutes the time restarts when you continue on your way and you won't know how the total time you rode.

I have now installed three Luna mid-drive kits and each want smoothly.
The first two were the high powered kits and the one in this review is BBS02 Mid Drive eBike KIT .
All 3 run quietly and are quite reliable. These units are powerful so be careful using the thumb throttle!

For normal use there isn't much difference between the two. The plugs are color coded so it would not be possible to mess up the connections. The only wrinkle is that if you plan use a 52-volt battery you should get a COLOR dash display because they show voltage. The % of charge is only reliable with a 48-vole battery so you need the voltage reading. State of charge reads way too high if you use a 52-volt battery.

These crank arms look great and the self extraction ability is very helpful. Be sure to put Loctite on the caps which allow for the self extraction or they will fall off while you ride. Luckily I went back the next morning on the same trail and found the missing piece.

These were very helpful and just what I needed to complete my BBSHD install.

Great upgrade for my X1. The original was small, too dark to see in many lighting condition for my old tired eyes. Most importantly, the old one had a very weak attachment system that broke off and was not repairable.

This one is well attached, much brighter, and have a vastly better choice of which information to display. All readable with out having to wear my old man reading glasses while riding.

It's a very nice t shirt. Graphics are very clean. I look forword to wear it when I'm tooling about on my spiffy ebike

DO NOT GET THE PEDAL SYSTEM!

I was desperate to be able to ride wherever without a motorcycle license and making it street legal and all of that, but that would have been less of a headache than the pedal system has turned out to be!

I never even got to use the pedals because you have to install them yourself and they're so cheap that you can easily strip out the threads on the crank arms. (Pretty much the whole reason I bought it pre-installed was to not have to deal with it, but they don't come installed like they claim.) So I just kept it off the road for a couple weeks and the bike is great other than this 1 MAJOR issue. Then one day the chain suddenly kept coming off. Turns out it is the sprocket for the pedals which I'm not even using that is making it come off.

I tried adjusting it all sorts of different ways over several days and half a dozen hours. I finally gave up and took it to a bike shop. They said yeah sure, as long as it's just the pedal system on an ebike we can fix it! Then they saw the damn thing and just about shit their pants and said it was "WAY above their pay grade and to take it to a motorcycle shop". So I take the ebike to a motorcycle shop to have them fix a pedal system and they want to charge me $350 after laughing at me. So I go pick it up and take it home and now it just sits uselessly in my garage because I spent all my money on a $4k ebike.

All because of a sprocket for a pedal system I never even got to use. Apparently even if you do get the pedals on and functioning one of the admins in the forums tells everyone they are not even made to be pedaled, and you have to do maintenance every other ride on them! Really?!

This has been a total disaster. I seriously regret ordering the pedal system. This has been like ordering a car with an optional upgrade of chrome rims or something but then you get the car and the rims fall off and have to be constantly maintained or else it renders the car completely useless.

DO NOT GET THE PEDAL SYSTEM!

Identical part to the one that comes with the BBSHD from the factory.
My clutch somehow managed to slip inside secondary gear so I had to replace the clutch and gear mechanism(probably the months of San Francisco hills will do that to any bike). Parts from Luna arrived quick and exactly what I needed.

Great and friendly company. Very quick turn around time. I ordered parts on a Monday and had them a couple days later.

Highly recommend Luna cycles for all you biking needs

Great products and quick and awesome service

The Eggrider V2 has to be the best upgrade for the BBSHD and Luna has the best price. Not only is it small and discrete, but it is highly visible and makes it so much easier to program the controller while out on rides and you can use your iPhone as a secondary display to provide more live and recorded data.
