2016 Trek ex 8 fuel with pf 92

I purchased the Luna BBSHD kit for my Surly Black-Ops. I also bought Lekkie 42T drive sprocket. The build went well, and the bike is a rocket. It's actually too fast, and I need to gear it down for the really steep trails in my neighborhood. But I've taken it on a few rides, and the hottest the motor got was 109F after a mile of pretty steep climbing, The battery wasn't even warm. Zero issues, maximum enjoyment. Excellent job, Eric!

Excellent charger. I’m using it to charge 2 48volt down tube Hilong batteries. Extend the life of your batteries charging to 80% Probably the best battery charger for the price. Definitely top quality built.

Had a problem with my controller as we traveled from Iowa to wyoming, ran into a freak rain storm so it my have recurved some moisture. No warrant on my apolllo. Picked up an EggRider controller and with Luna helping with the troubleshooting we figured it out the little EggRider. Works great and plan on buying one for my fat tire awesome

Good product and good customer support.

I got the small version of this controller, which is amazingly small. I replaced the normal size cyclone controller i had since i needed a smaller size and i think the sine wave gives this little controller even more power. It feels stronger than the square wave bigger version. The price is great for something that can put out this much power.

Best ebike ever

Love the feel of the thumb throttle for the conversion I did. I started with the throttle but switched over to this one and love it since Im running just a rear brake on the right side and now I can hand signal much easier.

FIrst some background. I live on Padre island in Texas, right by the beach. I already own an eBike for regular errands and kid dropoffs, but I was looking for a Gates belt drive fat tire bike for the beach as we have miles of beach to explore and having a one year old I thought it made sense to get a bike that is "made for the beach". So after a long wait for the bike to be back in stock, I finally bit the bullet and ordered.

Delivery took some time as I believe they have to do the motor silencer in house first before shipping. About 2 weeks later I received the bike. The bike came really well packaged, was relatively easy to install ( - although it would be great if Luna could create a brief video to show novices like me what to do!), and within an hour I was test driving it around my townhome complex.

So far I have done about 3 trips down our 12 miles of beach, and the bike holds its own and gets lots of looks and stares. I have affixed a Hamax Carress child seat to the bike and it fits perfectly, and I plan to a front rack on it too (a Blackburn). The plus is that this baby has plenty of torque even on loose sand, but at the same time it is a nice smooth ride on wet hard sand due to the fat tires. My only complaint if I have one, is that the thumb throttle is easily nudged if you are taking off a backpack or something in a stationary position, and then of course you have no control over what is going on with the bike ( - my only minor accident so far). So it would be good if Luna installed a catch there so you could lock it down and then just flick the catch to use it when needed.

Otherwise, a great purchase, quality parts and good value for money, as well as lots of comments and stares on the beach!

Great plug and play display and much more visible than the stock display for the Bafang. Worth every penny for the upgrade and it's just plug and play so not an issue with installation at all.

great bike - should come with a switch to turn off headlight.
Suspension could be better but for the price its good.

Great fun, perfect size and awesomeness on wheels!

I purcheased the SurRon as a replacement for my SSR125 pitbike because i was recieving noise complaints about the exhaust when riding around my property. I am happy to report that the SurRon was able to handle everything that my backyard trails could throw at it so far. It is important to frequently check all fasteners for the first few rides but so far the bike has been very reliable and fun.
I've ridden ~75 miles so far.

I got super stoked and ordered the Surron from Luna the first night I saw a YouTube video of a Surron. Then I told a buddy about it and he talked me into trying to get a couple on alibaba so I actually emailed to cancel my order. Then I was so impressed after watching the video of Eric with true Surron bosses that I re-ordered. I’m glad I did! Luna was great, the wait wasn’t too bad, and the bike is awesome! I ride it to work most days (short commute in the Las Vegas heat), taken it to Mt. Charleston twice so far, and hit some desert trails right outside of town on weekend mornings. Can’t wait for it to cool down a bit so I can do more riding.

Love the bike a lot very fast and very easy to put together out of the box was kinda disappointed with the front fender though it wasn’t the one in the picture and the instructions were in Chinese so I put it up high and it was meant for down by the tire I guess but it got ruined the first ride other than that they should probably have some sort of track my bike thing for giving updates on the bike you ordered 4000$ gets taken and you get a confirmation of your order then you don’t here anything for 5 weeks till an email saying it was shipped
