I bought this as a precaution after seeing some instances of motors wearing away the bottom brackets. So far at 100miles in there has been no issue and even if the stabilizer isn't the reason why, it is good for peace of mind

I literally love lunas motors.My 40 t sprocket gets alot more torque without losing much speed. Long in the tooth so eliminates my chain from falling off.

The X2 was a great decision to purchase. I've ridden a Specialized Levo and preciously owneded an electric Specialized Kenevo. I like the X2 much more than those bikes because of the power and throttle, and battery capacity. This bike does everything I need it to on the trails. The dropper that comes with the size medium is only 100mm which is not very long. Since my legs are longer and my torso is short, I will likely replace it with a 150mm dropper(to be more custom for my body type). Asides from that, I have 2 bikes and I literally only take the X2 out on the trails now. Love this bike!

A perfect fit for converting my 1983 Cycle Pro 26" steel frame mountain bike to Bafang E-motor drive. This adapter kit was out of stock when I found it but was well worth the await once it arrived. The price is right and it's basically the only game in town for a BMX type Ashtabula crank bottom bracket motor conversion. These two plates raised my 750 watt motor a full three inches for much better ground clearance. I'm so glad I found this perfect pair of adapter plates!

The Surron X black edition is a awesome bike. Luna made the process of getting one really easy. From ordering to delivery the process was fast and easy.

Bought this bike back in late July. While waiting for delivery I watched a few too many YouTube clips of others. By time I took delivery I was ready to book a day to swap out pretty much everything that touches the chain. Luckily my local shop was booking 60days out. So I rode,, a lot! About 500 miles and counting in fact.. Almost all of it on hilly dirt paths.. Some compressed, some loose some lightly rocky. I spend the majority of my time in PAS Eco 1. Maybe 10% in PAS 2-5. I'm happy to report that my chain breaking fears have so far been unrealized.

With that out of the way. I'll get to the details. I'm 5'10" and got the Medium. Though, I would had been just as happy with the Small. I'm getting really good battery performance. On a good day / light riding, I'm getting about .5-1 mile per 1%. Ie.. 10 Miles will leave 90% battery. Breaks are good, suspension is good for my style riding, dropper bar is good, pedals are flats that use wedges over more aggressive spikes. Generally it rides really well.

Motor: The 620 Ultra has gobs of power on demand! It not most refined application of said power. On PAS1 especially there's a bit of a jolt on the onset of power. I personally wish there was a little more refinement at the onset of PAS1. But once you're into the real power band its all good. Just gobs of power!
The Noise level isn't bad. I wish it was a little softer but its no where near a deal breaker!

One area that you're going to need to spend some time is shifting. There's no real way to disengage the motor. Some bikes have breaks that disengage others have a shifter sensor that kills the motor for a sec. So it took me a while to figure out how to shift a split sec after I stop pedaling. If you catch it right, the momentum of the chain ring will make the shift. In any case, once I got smooth shifting down riding became a lot better and stress free.

Would I buy the bike again? Yes..
Would I recommend to a friend? Yes..
Has Luna service been available? Yes..
I do wonder, would the X2 with ludicrous controller been a better choice? I don't know! But I love the Z1. At least the first 500 miles of it!

i love this thing use it all the time and would buy another when i put my order in i got it to days later great shipping time only wish that it had a switch for the light i got one on amazon for 20 bucks lots of the bolts are over tightened and i could not get them off the tubes and tires also aren’t the best but cheap and easy fixed
