After seeing a video about ho to use this tool I purchased one. I was not disapointed one little bit. I have sharpened many of my "pocket" knives during the couple of weeks since it was delivered. ALWAYS gives a very consistent clean edge and does it quickly. Now that I have my technique down I will start on my kitchen knives when they need attention when I am on the road. THANKS

I had inconsistent results with my prior sharpening system...never could get razor sharp results. Purchased this on a whim after seeing it in sporting goods store...UNBELIEVABLE! Never could have imagined the better than expected results delivered in relatively short amount of time. Funny thing is I was going to a knife shop next week to get a professional sharpening service on 2 of my EDCs. Absolutely no need for that now. If I can do it anyone can...if in doubt, dont be, just buy it. You will have NO regrets.

I've had mine for quite a whyle now and need to replace the fine diamond side but cant seem to find a replacement for it. So does that mean I have to buy a new one? Not shure how to rate it. If there is replacement parts then 5 stars if not 2 stars cause it does work but last a year. The coarse side and all other sides except the fine side are good

I've had two of these so far and I'm very happy with this product. It will give your knife a razor sharp edge in the field.

Bought the one they made with the BenchMade name on it for 10 bucks more because this was the 1st time seeing it. Well, I just love it. It works great and its hard to keep peoples hands off of it down at deer camp. They like it also.

Works great this is my favorite sharpener. I prefer bench top sharpeners over electric and with the pivot response you get a razor sharp edge. Get the additional kit with the other abrasive plates and strop also. I own 2 work sharp sharpeners and I really wish both came with a good zipper pouch. That's my only complaint. Other than that work sharp sharpeners are the best I think

Just got this to use on my new Maserin Nimrod which has an M390 4" blade. Broke the plates in and practised on a few cheaper blades. Just using the basic kit plus a strop took me only 5-10 minutes to get my knife to hair popping sharpness. From the factory it would only cut the odd hair with difficulty. I have previously tried other brands/types of sharpeners with limited success. I have never managed to get a knife this sharp and additionally it is easy to use. Would highly recommend it.

I think I own every type of sharpener on the market and this is one of my favorites. Its very basic and easy to use however it delivers a razor sharp edge before you know it. Great sharpener if you dont own one of the easiest sharpeners on the market, maybe its time you purchase this on!

this is a nice sharpening tool, but was disappointed that there was no bag too keep it all together, why not put a bag in there to keep everything in 1 place ?

I have owned a lot of different sharpeners over the years none of them could hold a candle to this one. It works any time, any where. And could not be any easier to use. I wish they would make one that held 2" x 10" platesfor longer 7 to 10 inch blades.

I'm very satisfied. You will need to use some masking tape to protect the finish on your blade. The angle guides collect a lot of metal shaving that will mark up the blade. Will there be a possibility to purchase replacement plates in the future?

This is tool is really excellent from the standpoint of convenience. I also appreciate the single-slope scissors sharpening feature. The ony reason I didn't give it a "Perfect" rating is it does not produce the ultimate edges you get from more sophisticated sharpening tools, but that wasn't expected. What I really do appreciate about it is that with less critical edges around the kitchen, which my wife persists in dulling by cutting against china surfaces, I can pick up this tool and give a quick edge that is perfectly adequate for 90% of kitchen work in a matter of seconds. The end result is I sharpen much more often than I once did.

I would not recommend this as your PRIMARY system, but it is a great sharpener, especially for the price point. Ive used it to sharpen multiple types of blades. Better instructions are needed.

This works extremely well, especially for the price point. I would say this is comparable to competitors that are selling for 3-4 times this price. Now, its no match (at all) for my Worksharp Ken Onion setup, but thats in a completely different category. I recommend getting both.

It literally sharpens everything with a blade. From machetes to kitchen knives, I tried just about every blade and tool I had and walked away with a sharp edge every time. Absolutely worth the money and it would be a great gift for practically anyone.
