The childproof vest is great for kayaking, it provides warmth to the core but isn't too hot when paddling.
This is the second chillproof vest I have owned. I owned the first vest for over 10 years and wore it regularly until I lost it somewhere. It was still in good order and being used.
When I decided that the old vest was definitely lost I bought a new one and I have been very happy with it.

I bought the orange/grey long sleeve version for scuba diving. The orange is almost a hunter blaze, and it keeps the brightness at depth. After diving with an operation for 2 weeks straight, I had multiple dive guides, dive buddies, and others in the dive group tell me how comforting it was to see with how bright the color comes through even in lower vis conditions, and because I often run tail in a dive group, the lead could always see where I was and effectively the end of the group.
I did order up a size from what I normally wear because I wear this over either the Sharkskin vest, or the Titanium Long Sleeve, and it fits well.
