I think the product is great, but there is no "meter" to know when to replace it. This is a problem. I know we are supposed to replace it every year, but what if we use way more than normal? Tks

Hello Marcelo, thank you for letting us know of your concern with your Ultrapure Benchtop Water Filter System and we hear you, there is definitely no meter placed in the Ultrapure Benchtop Water Filter Systems, but an indication that your cartridges are due for replacement is when you notice a sudden drop of water pressure. If this happens, then you might consider replacing your cartridges already. Remember, it always depends on the water quality. Lifespan is 7000 Litres or every 12 months whichever comes first. We have been using these water filter candles for 10 years now after my husband bought me a Southern Cross Pottery water filtering ceramic urn for my 50th birthday. We started with the standard filter candle then progressed to the premium one which removes chlorine and fluoride. The water tastes so good after being filtered.
