I've ordered from obk a number of times without issue, but I'm pretty displeased with tonight's transactions. Earlier I ordered fittings and accessories to plumb my kettle. Tonight they offered a 25% off site wide sale. I did what anybody would do, asked if they would apply that to my order. I was told they would not. Fine. I placed another order for a chugger pump because of this discount, I had planned to order one soon anyway, and am not going to find a better deal than this. I emailed back in order to see if they would waive the second shipping fee. Also noticed that in my first order, I needed 2 female fittings and one male fitting rather than three males. I asked if that could be exchanged as well. My reply was that the order cannot be changed, and shipping cannot be waived. The tone of the email seemed. To accuse me of trying to weasel them. Maybe I wasn't pleased about missing the discount, but not applying it is not unreasonable. Due to this response which said they can only refund and cancel rather than exchange, I asked them to cancel the order in that case, explaining that the fitting needs to fit the pump (one again, all items ordered from obk). This order was processed at 330 this afternoon and the reply was that the order was shipped. As a business owner, I was pretty doubtful. Orders almost never ship after 3. I emailed once more, after how difficult they made everything, and how finely I'm apparently supposed to comb their rules, I told them they weren't being honest, that I had accepted that they would not extend the discount and just want my correct fittings, and asked again to please cancel or make the exchange, or risk an up to now happy customer. The reply was that his prompt responses are an example of his good customer service and he wasn't lying and that they don't use the postal system. Well, thanks for the help guys. All this over what, $17? You got 2 stars because I have a number of things ordered from you that went correctly, but I don't really appreciate this. Any experience from other retailers like this in the past was immediately remedied, no excuses. I email you and I get stonewalled. Thanks.

I ordered a new kettle. The description said if you order other items to be shipped inside it may be dented upon arrival. When I got my kettle I could see how much care they put into packing it so this did not happen. Thanks OBK.

Probably the best place to order anything brewing/beer related. The staff OBK are very knowledgeable and helpful with any questions you may have.

The shipping rates are more than fair and the $9.99 flat rate shipping can't be beat. I comparative shop and OBK prices are hard to beat even with shipping included.

If something arrives damaged due to shipping, they replace the items and ship them asap.

This place is a rip off when it comes to shipping! They say anything over $200 is free shipping then on our bill they were charging us $40 ( this place is 15 mins away from our house) the guy said well it comes in 2 boxes so you get charged. My husband then found a place in Pembrook ( by Ottawa) and they are charging us $13 shipping. They really need to do something about the shipping fees!

Can't say enough good things about OBK. their customer service is excellent, and they reply to email inquires lightning quick. The shipments are fast, traceable, and accurate. The prices meet or beat anyone out there. I look forward to getting more ingredients and equipment from them.
