I have not replaced the old ones yet but the rating is based on the assumption that these will work perfectly...if that is not correct I will change the rating

I bought this for a Foodsaver v3825. You only need to replace the top seal, and you have to rip it out in order to change it. The foam seal was initially too large and the foodsaver would not lock down. After messing with it for a bit, I was able to get to lock. I then left it in the locked position so that the foam would be squished a bit. After a day of being locked down the foodsaver operated correctly.
