Our Purewave is a necessary part of our home. It stays charging in the living room, so any of our young adult athletes can access it after workouts and games. We purchased a second unit for my son leaving for college, so with his on-going rehab for various injuries, he has access to a pain & ache-relieving tool. I use it for achy muscles & migraine prevention and relief. Truthfully, the Purewave feels good to anyone who tries it--you do not need to have an ache, pain, or injury to benefit. In fact, our Chiropractor uses it as a tool in our sessions, first thing, before any adjustments! I'm so thankful for the introduction to this Mult-useful massager.

After several years of frequent use, the battery on our PUREWAVE would no longer hold a charge. I contacted PADO online regarding their battery repair service and paid the service fee. I then expected to receive either a return authorization or return kit. When I didn't get either, I contacted PADO customer service, and received instructions as to where to ship the PUREWAVE for repair. The rest of the process was seamless: we shipped the PUREWAVE and received it back in about two weeks. Everything works great!

My Gen II model stopped holding a charge so I intended to replace it with a new one. They are not available now, so I opted for this lesser model. As far as I can tell, it uses the same motor and is in the same case minus the chrome trim. This one has only the one mode, which is all I used anyway and the speed control seems the same. For some reason, I hit the speed control frequently while using it, unlike the first model. The charging port is on the topside rather than the bottom, which makes no difference in use.
In all, for my situation, it is an entirely suitable replacement for the Gen II model plus it was less expensive.
