Searched for a hammer extension for my marlin and was not willing to pay $90. dollars for used one with jm stamped and did not want a barrel style, Found ranger precision and paid $27,dollars for one that works just as good and fits perfect and looks great on gun,

Super nice quality and light weight! I would rate 5 stars, but I could not “first install” seem to get mine to not move up and down in the rear where it mounts into the receiver, started rubbing a little blue off the sides of the barrel on my hoo1m, I’ve watched the install video a few times, even before I started the install and I also retried the install again, thinking I was missing a step but I found that if I leave the barrel band screw not tight, like it says in the video, then install the two side button head screws, it started rocking the hand guard in the rear a few mm up and down, especially with a bipod attached.
But if you hold the two pieces of the barrel band with your left hand on top of the barrel and align them together and tighten it with the hand guard barely installed, just enough to get a Allen key on it, then install the hand guard fully up and in place with button screws, it doesn’t move as much or at all, would be better if there was a way to have a set screw on the bottom of the handguard, to hold it in to the rear of the receiver to keep the hand guard from rocking.. I still love this handguard it’s so nice!! Just a little bummed I didn’t notice the rocking sooner to stop the rubbing on the barrel..
