The Red Splash looks great on my Rossi. The kit assembled easily if only my Rossi was as easy to disassemble. The band on the hand grip was nearly impossible to remove. One of the screws was stripped, that explains the other screw that was torqued by an 800lb gorilla. The Ranger Point YouTube assembly I watched was very helpful. The wood hand grip was very tight and the plug on the ammo tube was difficult to remove, I used a cleaning rod to pop it out. I presumed from the video there was loctite in the kit but I didn't find any with my kit. The Ranger kit was easy to assemble and everything was a precision fit.

Ordering process was great. Communicated via text. Very quick response. Order was received in 6 days. Video instructions were helpful. Fyi, last step in barrel guard/rail assembly was incorrect- it was machined slightly different, comes with 1 screw mount on the picatinny rail, barrel end, not 2. Only complaint I have is the butt stock rocks slightly, not 100% snug. Yes, I did use correct assembly and torque tools. Bringing to gunsmith just to see if they can make it snug. Weight 7 lb. 11.7oz Vs original 6 lb. 12.8oz. Not including scope.

We are incredibly sorry that your hardware is showing surface corrosion. When we receive the hardware, it has too much oil on it and we have to degrease it. We are constantly running a fine line with TOO much oil and not enough.
Don't freak out, though. A little gun oil and a clean cloth will clean that right up for you.
Always remember that a firearm has two enemies: Politicians and rust. One can be fixed with a little gun oil, the other can be fixed with tar and feathers. =-)

Thanks for your feedback. We buy the steel screws with oxide coating in bulk and do our best to keep them oiled/lubed during install and before packaging. Sadly, rust can creep happen similarly to how every new Marlin SBL and Trapper rifle shows rust within weeks. All of that said, we'll contact our vendor to see what if anything can be done in their process.

Thanks for the feedback. As we note on the website, Henry's are usually the only rifles that sometimes have an issue with shooting high. It usually means the barrel droops a bit so a taller front sight is needed to compensate.
