MAS Henry M-LOK Handguard " Big Boy" Straight Grip Receiver-Size Stock Set (Root Beer)
Got the root beer costa handguard + stock for Henrys w/ straight grip installed on my Henry Big Boy .357. The handguard and stock are absolutely fantastic, love the color, feel, and function. Although, I wish RPP gave a warning that this is NOT an easy install. If you're considering buying this please watch the install video and understand what you'll need to do. The video for the install should be playable directly in the description, in my opinion. It takes a lot of elbow grease and effort, expect 2-4 hours to install. The mag tube tenon has to be hammered out of the dovetail pretty violently, the tenon they include has to be sanded down by hand quite a bit to make it fit and then to reinstall the mag tube tenon, you will have to sand the edges down to make it fit back in. Those things are what make it difficult, everything else is easy. If you're not comfortable doing all that make sure you have a gunsmith near you that you trust to handle a Henry and/or is familiar with RPP products. Would buy again, just wish there was a PSA that it's not a beginner install.

This is a much better design than the factory supplied extension. The factory extension just will not stay tight. Just a few firings and it loosens. This is just a firmly attached as the day I installed it and 150 45-70 rounds later.

Keeps bore solvents where they belong, in contact with the bore instead of the receiver. I use a patch jig for my cleaning rod and this simplifies the whole bore cleaning process. No more having to guide the patch into the chamber.

Provides much more functionality than the Marlin stock on the 1895 dark. It provides more versatility in mounting a quiver for example with the addition of the M-lok plate. Recoil pad is surprisingly effective for the 45-70 recoil. Overall it was a great puchase.

From the factory, the trigger pull on my new Marlin-Ruger .45-70 was like pulling the brake lever on a Schwinn 10 speed from 1972. You knew the brakes were going to engage, but couldn't really be sure when. This RP trigger though... Crisp, light, and predictable. A buddy of mine has his own MR .45-70 and he was stunned at how much better mine felt. It not only feels better, but the rifle shoots more accurately. All that and a bag of chips.

Installed properly multiple times and hammer would only go to half-cocked when cycling. Told customer service and they said it must be something off with my rifle. Bought an aftermarket trigger from another manufacturer and it worked flawlessly. Tells me that something was off with the Ranger Point trigger and their inspection of parts after manufacturing is lacking. They did take the part back no problem though.
