Ranger Point Precision was great answering my many questions really quick and shipping very fast. Planning to build a 410 tactical model for my 8 year old grandson and a 45-70 model for my son who is a Special Agent with the FBI. As a (Ret) Chief of Police I have 3 gun cabinets full of rifles and pistols but this one is the best looking rifle and it shoots great. I modified a Henry X 327/38. I wish Ranger Point Precision had a 22 or 17 hmr lever action tactical version.

Disappointing and Overpriced

Rifle Dovetail Sight Filler Blank (black nitride coated)
I needed a filler block for the old sight base slot on my 1894 Marlin. Looking at Ranger Point's photos of their project, their fillers appear to be milled from solid steel. I was disappointed when I opened the package to find what actually appears to be a MIM part that is hollow on the back with limited points of contact with the sight base slot on the rifle. The part required no fitting, it required Loctite to keep it in place because it slides in freely and would fall out if it were not secured with some sort of adhesive.
I believe this part is overpriced for what it is! I did install and use the part but have already ordered a solid steel, file-to-fit part to replace it.

Thanks for the feedback. We use to machine them and sell those for $24.95. Feedback from customers was that a metal hole filler under $10 with zero sanding or fitting needed and the same great matching barrel contour is all that was needed...so here we are. Understood that it's not for you and sorry to disappoint.

wanted to put on 2006 J Marlin cowboy 1895 45-70. tried two others that did not fit. Called first and was assured that with 98% confidence it would fit. Unfortunately it was 16/1000 too large and would not thread. Charged 32$ with S and H got 18$ back.

Thanks for the feedback! Sounds like your threaded hole in the trigger guard is the issue if no replacement lever screws will fit. We wish we could 100% ensure all our parts will fit all 9 million+ Marlin rifles out there but alas that's not the case. :-(
