The diopter insert spring does not move the sight to lower position. There is a treaded hole in front of it, but not any bolt for it. That bolt might have helped.

I was cautious about buying this without a cheek riser since the alignment for most modern rifles is straight back, but the adjustment that this stock offers eliminates that issue. The adjustment screws allows the sight alignment to be raised or lowered so you can use a scope or red dot with a pistol grip. For my Marlin Trapper this worked well with a Vortex Strike Eagle SOPMOD scope on low mounts.
