The rail install was not the easiest, as described the tenon required sanding and filing to fit. Once installed everything looked and feels great!

Comet Muzzle Brake, Marlin SBL 1894 44 mag Stainless Steel

All components were ordered at different times and each order was quickly delivered. All parts fit perfectly. I had not shot the rifle before I installed the Comet brake, but was still expecting a 12 gauge slug feeling recoil after installation. Wow, was I mistaken. The recoil with the Comet was closer to a .308. What a joy to shoot.

I think these guns are awesome, I took them to a gunsmith to have the furniture changed out. When I went to pick them up I actually had another customer wanting to buy them from me on the spot. I was told that several other customers saw them and said they were going to start looking for Henry's to do the same thing.

Everything fit very well. The cheek riser was too low for me, to raise it up I used a flat rubber bungee that I cut to size and drilled holes in, longer bolts were required. It would be nice if different cheek riser heights were available.

Thanks for the great feedback. We'll look into offering shims to raise the cheek riser. Don't forget, you can loosen the four screws on the stock and adjust the stock higher than it's currently set. Happy shooting!
