Received the parts quickly and the youtube videos make the installation simple.

I attribute most of the blame for my purchase of these THREE rifles to Ranger Point Precision, if their “furniture” wasn’t so damn appealing, I’d have stopped after the first one (at least that’s what I’m telling my wife).
I bought the .45-70 when my father-in-law started talking about taking a bear hunting trip to Alaska; that’s when I found Ranger Point Precision. I dressed her up with all the RPP furniture, including the butt stock, handguard, several quivers, and a take down screw, just because it was added coolness.
I quickly realized that I could hunt white tail deer in Louisiana with a 30-30 during muzzle loading season, so here we go again with the handguard, quivers, and another takedown screw.
After shooting the .45-70 and 30-30, I realized how much more fun I could have if I bought at 44 Magnum, after all, it is CHEAPER to shoot than the .45-70 and 30-30…right!! And she can’t not have a fancy dress too…so she got a handguard, quiver, takedown screw and what the hell, they have a muzzle device too…add that to my cart while you’re at it PAT!!

Needless to say, I now the proud owner of THREE Henry lever action rifles, all outfitted with Ranger Point Precision furniture…and I’m now the envy of the gun range and two of my buddies are in the process of building one also.

Excellent products and service

There is nothing I can say that you don’t already know, this thing is SEXY! Really easy to put on, and sturdy as hell. There are plenty of YouTube videos on how to put this this on for those that have trouble reading instructions (like me). While not exact, the “bluing” or “parkerized” black color matches the Marlin 1895 Dark very very well. Fits PERFECT in your hand while shooting. This bad boy definitely turns heads while at the range. One thing I haven’t mentioned in any past reviews is the shipping. RPP makes sure you get your stuff ASAP!

Works as advertised. I didn’t realize how stiff the OEM loading gate was. I looked like an idiot struggling to load the rifle. Felt like my manhood card needed to be taken away from me! Bought the RPP loading gate and there is a huge difference. Definitely smooth and easy to load now. The OEM one pinched the heck out of me, the RPP one doesn’t. If you’re on the fence getting this, let this review help you make the right decision. This was a secondary purchase from RPP for me and it really should have been one of my first. Your finish on the rifle will thank you for not allowing her to get scratched up from rounds struggling to get in.

Was a straightforward install using the video on the website. It was a little fiddly because my Marlin is fairly new and tight. The new gate definitely makes it easier to load rounds versus the stock part. Recommended.
